Cradle Mountain Highlanders offers secluded cabins on the edge of Cradle Mountain National Park. It provides convenient, self-catering facilities and is a 5-minute drive from the park’s entrance. Staying at Cradle Highlander was a unique experience. During our trip, we stayed at different places—some felt like hotels, while others felt like home. But the Highlander was something else. On that cold night, it felt so cozy inside, especially with the fireplace—it was the cherry on top. We could step outside to see the stars, crystal clear in the sky, then rush back into the warmth of our room because of the chill outside. Overall, it was the best. Hiking in Cradle and staying at the Highlander is the perfect combination.

Offering scenic views of the garden, Tiny Escapes Cradle Valley is set in Moina, 28 km from Dove Lake There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. The cabin had everything you could ask for and more, the camp fire was a nice touch, including firewood provided,fire starters,out door chairs and umbrella.

Situated in Strahan, Strahan Wilderness Lodge features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy free bikes, a garden and a shared lounge. Incredible location overlooking the lake which we could enjoy from our terrace. Big,.comfortable bedrooms. All kinds of small comforts eg in fridge, in common sitting area. Lovely welcome from Desma.

Boasting garden views, Domescapes in the Vines features accommodation with patio, around 35 km from Queen Victoria Museum. Incredible experience. Didn’t really know what to expect as it was our first time “ glamping” . It exceeded our expectations . The unit itself is as comfortable as any hotel room , large bed , frig etc etc , with the bonus of being set right in the vineyards ..A nice deck with firepit adds to the total experience . Add to this the delicious wines of the swinging gate winery , and most of the hosts / winery owners Hannah and Corrie which couldn’t do enough to insure our stay was perfect . Such a warm welcome ; wine tasting and provided info on the area ; and to top it off they arranged to deliver pizza. Pizza , wine and great hosts.. doesn’t get much better !

Set within 200 metres of Dunalley Beach and 37 km of Port Arthur, Flotsam Seaside Studio Dunalley offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Dunalley. Absolutely beautiful. Views stunning and the wood burner is just delightful on a cold windy night. We found the bed very comfortable and the space well laid out. So tranquil and wished we could have stayed longer. Hosts very responsive. The Afloat studio 2 had everything we needed for a short stay. We found this the nicest accommodation out of the 4 places we chose during our 2 week holiday. It was very clean and well appointed with lovely quirks like the driftwood clothes hanger - very cool. It’s also close to great eateries - something for everyone and if you’re an oyster fan, you’ve come to the right place!

Set 2.4 km from Penguin Beach, Sunny Gum offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden. There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. Location was excellent. Nice warm accomodation. Family friendly. Great barbecue area. Excellent parking. Sheep and goats to watch. Great outdoor area.

Situated in Forcett and only 32 km from Theatre Royal, Harrison Grove features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We loved this place! The owners were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The studios were very nice and well equipped with everything you need. It was so peaceful, quiet, and lots of cool birds like parrots to wake up to. Close to the Hobart airport and easy to get around. Would stay here again!

Located in Liawenee in the Tasmania region, Thousand Lakes Lodge provides accommodation with free private parking. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Location and wildlife. Cannot say enough nice things about Bec and her wonderful hospitality.

Located in Maydena, Maydena Mountain Cabins provides accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with a terrace. Our second stay at this accomodation and this time we chose the apartment. It was great, very private, cozy and comfortable. Loved the heated blanket and comfortable bed. The bathroom is spacious. The views are amazing. Would stay here again when we come back to beautiful Maydena!
