Beautiful place run by the family - former tea plantation which is now becoming a jungle again. The panoramic view from the room was amazing - makes you feel like you are sleeping in the forest and you can spot a lot of wildlife from the bed. Waterfall with natural pools is within the resort. Very good food with massive portions. The trip to the forest was also great - the entrance to reserve is just 2 km away. Everything perfect and worth its price.

The Whitegates Lodge ligger i Weligama i regionen Matara i nærheden af Midigama Beach og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering samt adgang til et boblebad. The location of this accommodation is fantastic, situated just a quick 50-meter walk from the beach and offering incredibly easy access to Galle Road. The room and linen were exceptionally clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the quality of the bathroom fittings and the convenience of having a private entrance and a personal fridge (not a mini-bar) in the room. This added a lot of value and privacy to our visit. ​As a small suggestion for improvement, it would be beneficial to add a curtain to the bathroom window for enhanced privacy.

Hos Natural Mystic Sanctuary i Deniyaya er der bjergudsigt, en sæsonåben udendørs swimmingpool, en have, en terrasse og en restaurant. Der er gratis wi-fi. Wonderful location in the midst of the rainforest. Food was fresh and tasty. The lovely host Karina is very accommodating and can organise anything for you from transportation to tours. The river freshwater pool is very refreshing after a hike or trek in the forest.

As we arrived we were greeted with cold wet towels while the host prepered an insanly eleborate "welcome tea" - it was more like a taste-through the specialities of the country plus a Black tea with a scent of gingen and lime - both from the own garden! After petting the two kittens we explored the tree house. The tree house is amazing: offering a huge terrace on the second floor and a not so spacious but lovely crafted interior. The bathroom is outside but protected from rain. One time while showering, we even had a Kingfisher watching us! Apart from the treehouse, what also separates this homestay from others is the amazing host family. In the morning, we got tea up on the Terrace while watching the birds, we got many good Tips for our stay, a very detailed tour through the garden (including tasting of coconut in ways we didn't think possible) and an enormous, varied and authentic sri lankan breakfast. On the second day we decided to hsve dinner at the homestay and asked if that would be possible. He explaind that they only offered surprise dinners with varying dishes. Because the meal is always different, there was no clear price to it. He told us that we should just pay what the meal is worth to us. In the end, the surprise dinner was a banquet under candle lights, with seafood, Curry and everything Else you could wish for. Upon receiving the receit for our stay, we saw that neither the extra tea we drank, nor the water we ordered, nor our goodbye lime juice were added to the price. All was included in good hospitality. We even got a fairwell gift when we left. I think this was our 10th guest house during our travels in sri lanka, but i can say surely that it was the best. Main points: food, hospitality, treehouse, kittens. What else to say.

Hiriketiya Suka Place ligger i Hiriketiya og har udsigt til en have, restaurant, roomservice, bar, have og terrasse. Lodgen har både gratis wi-fi og privat parkering. If you’re staying in Hiri this is a great option, the grounds are so well maintained. Our villa was really clean, equipped with all the amenities we needed (like gas stove for cooking and teas.) Over our stay we saw monkeys, peacocks, squirrels and even a tortoise, which we really enjoyed. Restaurants and Hiri beach are right down the hill.

Pixie Haven Lodge Hiriketiya ligger ca. 2 minutters gang fra Dickwella Beach. Her er balkon, kedel og udsigt til byen. Very spacious, good kitchen facilities and excellent location - walking distance to both Dikwella and Hiriketiya beaches. The hosts were really helpful in organising the Wifi required to work remotely

Ripple by the river har udsigt til en have, gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering og ligger i Weligama, 2,1 km fra Weligama Beach. Owner is a nice guy, he is very polite generous and kind.

Lunuvila Resort Hiriketiya Dikwella ligger i Dikwella i regionen Matara i nærheden af Dickwella Beach og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. We like the place a lot, it's new and more villas are still being built. Have a small patio to eat breakfast in the morning. The villa is a bit dim but gives a cosy atmosphere. Also it has warm water heater! The owner though is the best part. He is so genuine and friendly, tries to help and cooks really good traditional breakfast. We got unlucky with the weather and it rained a lot, so he offered us a ride to the center so we could get dinner. He also arranged a scooter for us and dropped us off at the bus stop, one of the best hosts we ever had! Location is close to Hiriketiya restaurants and shops, 10min walk away.
