Set in Tiga Papan and only a few steps from Kalampunian Beach, Chalet Ombak Rindu Kudat offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The location of the homestay is the best attraction. The beach is really right infront of the homestay and we can see the beach from the veranda of the homestay. In the morning, we practically have the beach to ourselves. During the night, we experienced a few blackouts. I think this is not the owner's fault. However, the owner provided us with portable solar lamp for our use in the house, which helped a lot. We really enjoyed our stay at this homestay and hoped we can come back another time.

Hawun Valley Kiulu features a hot tub and air-conditioned guest accommodation in Tamparuli, 39 km from Filipino Market Sabah, 34 km from Likas City Mosque and 39 km from Sabah State Museum & Heritage... The view in the morning and the friendly owner.Definitely will stay again.

Located in Sematan in the Sarawak region, The Mangrove provides accommodation with free private parking. The Mangrove is ideal for a family or friends staycation. The cabins are tucked in a mangrove forest, and each can fit up to 5-6 pax. The beach is just right in front of the place with the cabins overlooking the beach itself. You can park your cars literally in front of the cabins. The owner is super friendly as well! The inside of the cabin is clean and cosy. Each cabin comes with a balcony furnished with tables and chairs, a barbecue pits, and a sink - perfect for your barbecue night! We brought our own portable stove and did some light cooking for breakfast. The wind from the sea is chilling, and you can enjoy the night enjoying the breeze while barbecuing and having some drinks.

Set in Bario in the Sarawak region, Zara Lodge offers accommodation with free private parking. This country house comes with a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen with kitchenware, and a TV. Really good food!!! :D The owner and staff are amazing! They were very lovely and even made us homemade donuts on the house!! The lodge is very spacious and comfy! We also rented a motorbike which was in very good condition. Absolutely recommend the place! 11/10 :D !!!

Set 1.5 km from Filipino Market Sabah and 3.9 km from Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village in Kota Kinabalu, Jesselton Quay by Miraton Lodge 2 offers accommodation with a kitchen. The room was clean. It has very beautiful view of half sea, half forest on level 30. The host was responsive, reply quick message made the communication easy. It located in a very good location, easy to get around and very close to the jetty to the islands.

Located in Kudat in the Sabah region, Tammoyo Place provides accommodation with free private parking. Some units include a seating area and/or a balcony. The lodge offers a children's playground. This is the perfect place to unwind, relax and escape from the world. You're staying right on the beach with the most epic sunsets you can watch from your bed in a chalet and just fall asleep to the waves. Literally some of the best nights sleep we had in a long time. Romeo the owner was so kind and welcoming, he made us feel safe and provided wonderful service while we were there. The breakfast and dinner were both so good, cheap seafood and some of the best we've had in Asia! (been travelling for 4 years) Prices are really good too for what you get. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone who likes the quiet beach life away from everything.

Located in Mantanani Island, GreenHouse Lodge provides accommodation with access to a garden. The property boasts reusable plastic materials, using energy-saving lighting and conserving rainwater. We had a fantastic time on Mantanani Island. Superb location, right on the beach, no other hotels in the area. We were spoiled by Fred's wife (owner) who is in charge of the food. As vegetarians, we could not find a better place! No other restaurants in the area tough. Kayaks and snorkeling gear available, which we recommend. Nice walk to the nearby village too. Swimming in the sea here is very nice, no strong currents. Transfer is well arranged. Pick up (early!) in your hotel in KK, boat is waiting to bring you to the island and visa versa.

Set atop a 100 metre hill overlooking the Kinabatangan Forest Reserve, The Last Frontier Boutique Resort is located in Bilit, and is located a 2 hour drive from the beautiful Sandakan. I cannot rate this place highly enough. Firstly the staff were the nicest bunch of people, who genuinely care that the guests have a great trip, and are passionate about the environment and the wildlife. Secondly, this is the only place in the area actually inside the jungle, rather than on the river. And that matters because you're much more likely to see an Orang utan in the wild staying here. We were lucky enough to see one, and the guys running the place were overjoyed for us. It was a truly breathtaking moment. And we saw monitor lizards and Hornbills causally wandering/ flying around. The guys running the place could not do enough for us. Also the food was great, and included. Travel is quite a hobby for me, I have been travelling the world regularly for over 30 years now and I have stayed in a lot of places, from luxury hotels to eco-resorts etc. This rates as high as any experience I have had anywhere. I wish there were more places run this well and with this much passion in the world.

Bayu Senja Lodge features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Kundasang. The lodge offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and bidet. Amazing view with balcony overlooking southern mountains and hills from my room. Tidy & clean, with a decent restaurant on-site so not necessary to drive out to eat. Toiletries are sufficient. Thoughtful details in the room. Pleasantly surprised to find this in such a location.

Situated in Kinabatangan in the Sabah region, Borneo Jungle Adventure features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Great location in middle of a protected forest, rich biodiversity and excellent guides that organize canoë rides and forest walks in which you get to see a lot! Our guide Mica was very professional and caring. We we're treated as family and everybody at the lodge made our stay a wonderful expérience.
