It felt peaceful and private, yet also safe! We loved the butterflies in front of our cabin and we liked all the greenery. The kitchen was perfect and I loved having two lounge areas (eating and sitting). Staff was very friendly!

Gianni is a brilliant host, super friendly with fun chat and very helpful. Norlan the housekeeper is also a lovely guy. The room was comfortable and clean (it was also cleaned a couple times during our stay), the kitchen is really good (fresh coffee every morning!), there are hammocks and tables outside for hanging during the heat of the day. The location is excellent - just off the beach, near the only two shops in Popoyo, next to several restaurants and opposite a board rental place. Easy access to the reef break (about 10-15mins walk), a bit longer to Beginners Bay. Wifi wasn’t great in our room but fine in the communal spaces. Great vibes, wish we could have stayed longer!

Really takes eco sustainability to heart. It’s simple luxury with excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble and it felt like I had the whole place to myself much of the time. Food is delicious and while menu not exhaustive they changed dinner daily. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I've been travelling for 4 months across south/Central America and this is one of the most welcoming hostels I have been to. Check in was seamless and he provided us with amazing information in what to do here. Provided us with contacts for amazing guide to the local volcano hike. Also gave us plenty information of what to do here. The food was amazing for both breakfast and dinner and the views from our room were spectacular, with amazing sunsets over the lake which made the stay here so special. Thanks for everything and I highly recommend to anyone staying in Ometepe to stay here!

Το La Bambouseraie είναι ένα κατάλυμα με θέα στον κήπο που βρίσκεται σε Balgue. Προσφέρει εστιατόριο, κοινόχρηστη κουζίνα, μπαρ, κήπο και βεράντα. This place was very clean to be outdoors you do have a few bugs but nothing crazy. The view from your room is incredible! My partner and I loved this place and would definitely return.
