Great little town, friendly and welcoming. Lots of history, beautiful park and marked walk around the town. Free parking with plenty of space. Great village-style choice of pubs, food shopping, restaurants and gift shops. Sense of a real and supportive community. Everyone flexible and willing to help. A cute small town with nice restaurants and cafes. A few nice shops. Nice place to stay I'd you're traveling around Connemara. It's about and hour to Kylemore Abby as well as to the ferry or airport that gets you to the Aran Islands. Definitely work a stop if you have some time. Jackie was a great host with excellent communication. The house itself is very comfortable and a delight to return to after a day exploring Connemara and beyond. The decor is beautiful. Beds really good quality and comfy. We brought our dog with us and she loved the secure garden. The welcome basket was a really nice touch...as was the Nespresso coffee maker.
