Wonderful and comfortable cottage with good assortment of items for simple food prep. I had no need for food prep... the charming chef owner & his wife prepared a fabulous fish dinner for me and an Icelandic breakfast. Quiet and secluded in a beautiful valley setting with sheep & newborn lambs.

The Castle provides beachfront accommodations in Búðardalur. A hot tub is available for guests.

It's one of the best experiences in Iceland. A super warm welcome from the owner, a nice cabin where we stayed. Assistance in arranging the horse riding - we really felt at home. The room, the communication and overall experience was simply AMAZING. Highly recommended!

Booked the place to escape from the heavy wind gusts. It was very clean, cozy and had everything you need to refuel from a long day of riding. Gil and the other two ladies were very friendly and welcoming. Haven't had a chance to try the restaurant but the breakfast was great. The beds were also very comfy. Will keep this in mind when coming back to explore the fjords.

This is a small and basic cabin BUT so charming, very authentic and what a gorgeous location. Plus host went out of her way to communicate and make sure we made it ok and were comfortable.

A good location for a relaxing stay in Hjarðarholt, Mirror Suite is a vacation home surrounded by views of the mountain.

Clean and comfortable. Such an amazing property and sweet host, every little detail is so well thought out. It was quiet, cozy and comfy and the best place we have stayed in Iceland I definitely recommend to anyone who will be visiting. The breakfast was also so beautifully laid out.
