It is a lovely island and the people are really friendly. Grand Case is the perfect location to see the island. Be careful as most of the beaches (depending on the weather) do not have calm waters but it is very easy to change one beach to another as there are no long distances. On this island you need a car. There are taxis, but there are many remote parts to this island that are so interesting to explore. An island full of delightful restaurants and bars, often with stunning views. Excellent Creole cuisine, beautiful beaches, a very lush and green island with a mountainous interior (though the mountains are, of course, not very high). Just off the main road, but inside the courtyard is soo tranquil and cool on a hot day. The interior is Thai/Balinese inspired and very cosy. Room was spacious and not cluttered. The guesthouse staff was amazing! So friendly. Breakfast was delicious.
