    We were unfortunate with the weather during our 9 day stay.

    We were unfortunate with the weather during our 9 day stay. Had a grade 4 cyclone which disallowed the water activities we were hoping for but didn't spoil our holiday but rather added some excitement. It made us look for other activities we could experience such as catching local buses, renting a scooter and doing lots of hikes along the coast line. Loved the noisy music on the buses and helpfulness of the ticket collectors to let us off at our named destinations. Even though English is apparently taught in schools we did struggle to make ourselves understood.

    Easy to get to on a short Air Mauritius flight from Mauritius international airport. A beautiful island with miles of unspoilt sandy beaches behind a reef. Relatively easy and inexpensive to travel around the island by taxi.

    It’s a place for rest.

    It’s a place for rest. In one day one can travel almost throughout the island. Many artisanal products for sale to tourists but for the bottled foods it is not so sure in what conditions they were prepared.

    This island is unique for so many reasons.

    This island is unique for so many reasons. In a world dominated by technology and where all sorts of marketing scams seem to have taken over our lifestyles, Rodrigues is still a virgin to all of that, thus offers a rare pearl of a lifestyle. The whole ecosystem is so wild, green, lush and alive, that it gives one hope to live. It is the best destination for anyone who needs a complete cut off and to reconnect to one’s core. It is just beautiful.
