Venice is a beautiful city.
Venice is a beautiful city. The people are so friendly, and from where we stayed (Banyan House B&B) everything we planned was within a 5 - 10 mile trip. The Farmer's Market to Historic Venice was within walking distance. We took nightly walks after eating at delicious venues like Waterfrontoo and Pinchers. Along our walk we saw gorgeously historic homes. I could imagine retiring in the Venice area. On Sunday morning, we visited Christ Venice Church, where we met a team of the most friendly people in the State of Florida. I HIGHLY recommend spending some time here. The area is beautiful. We love going down to beach area also the restaurants are amazing. Unfortunately our hotel between the roaches and duct tape for holders to open up cabinets was completely unsatisfying. We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice.
We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice. It is laid back and great for couples or solo travelers. Downtown Venice didn't seem very busy or crowded. We just did a drive by in Venice but it didn't look like much was going on midweek.Guest review byLoidaUnited States - 4.0

It was a perfect little cottage feel. The pool was amazing. There were noodles and other pool and beach things we could borrow. 10 minute walk to Venice beach and less than that to little shops and restaurants.
