And it is the dreaming farmhouse with great pastureland in the backyard. The room is very clean and bed is comfortable. The owner is very friendly and even showed us how to milk the cow. There is a baby lamb around us, the owner even let me to bottle feed the baby lamb. It is a great experience for our trip in Iceland. Definitely recommend this to anyone wants the great traveling experience in Iceland!

Set on a farm 8 km from Grundarfjördur, this modern guest house offers a 9-hole golf course, plus free Wi-Fi and parking. Snæfellsjökull National Park is 40 minutes’ drive away. Many thanks to the guesthouse host who noticed that my tire was running low on air. Not only did they kindly help me inflate it, but also recommended a nearby repair shop, saving me from what could have been a serious problem. The guesthouse itself was very comfortable, and I truly appreciate the host’s thoughtfulness!

Out of all the places we stayed in our 3 weeks away from home, this was our very favorite! Its location was wonderful and a great base for us to explore the peninsula. We hope that when we go to Iceland in the future, we can stay here again. The house was so inviting and comfortable. The beds were incredible! We loved walking around Stykkishólmur; the walk up to the beacon was great and the view breathtaking. We even saw the Northern Lights while there. The host was extremely attentive and responded quickly to any questions we asked. What a find, this house in Stykkishólmur!
