Shimanto Riverside Hideaway, a property with a garden, is situated in Shimanto, 12 km from Shimanto Historical Museum, 12 km from Ichijo Shrine, as well as 13 km from Shimanto Yasunamiundo Koen Park. Beautiful traditional house, with some lovely design touches and a very well equipped kitchen with delicious coffee and tea available. We enjoyed a wander down to the river and submersible bridge, and took a Canadian canoe onto the river - very relaxing, with stunning scenery. Kenji was an excellent host; helpful, informative and gave us great restaurant recommendations. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here - we found it a very calming place and enjoyed our 2 night stay immensely.

HANARE紡舎Tsumugiya is a recently renovated holiday home in Ogawa, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. This is a beautiful and very large accommodation (an entire house), that seems to be taken right out of an interior design magazine! It is clear that the owners and beautifully carefully renovated an old traditional Japanese house. It is a joy to stay here! Night skies are especially beautiful.

Great location - 10 minute drive to lots of restaurants, shops, grocery stores. The manager was very responsive and sweet to recommend restaurants for us to try during our stay. She even called them to make reservations for us! The property was very clean and better than the photos - very spacious bedroom (there was only 2 of us, so the other 2 bedrooms were locked) , double sink with large mirrors and great lighting. Laundry machine was easy to use. Bathroom had shampoo and soap - they provided a lot of thoughtful touches such as slippers/shower scrub/razor/ 5L beer!! Beds were comfy - we stayed for 2 nights and loved every minute. There is a tiny cafe outside but it they were unfortunately on vacation during our stay.
