We loved everything. The place, the area, the people -everything was amazing. And we can't wait untill will come back again.

This cute little house is set in lovely gardens with plenty of outside seating areas and play areas for children. It was very quiet at night, spotlessly clean and the owner had left us lots of treats, apples, sweets and some homemade grappa. The two bedrooms were both spacious and comfortable. One thing to note, the upstairs bedroom (en suite) had no door so lacked a little privacy (only for sound, not for looking into) but this was solved by shutting the door to the living room at night which made the downstairs bedroom effectively an en suite with private access to the house bathroom and gave total privacy to both couples. Plitvice is about 35 minutes drive so really convenient. The restaurant down the road, two minutes drive, Feniks, has mixed reviews, some terrible, but we risked it and had a very nice meal there and the staff were lovely. And it’s one of the few that stayed open until 10pm, most in Slunj closed their kitchen at 8pm which was a little early for us. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom are open tread polished wood and felt slightly hazardous to us oldies but we managed with care. Just something to be aware of it you are an older traveller. All in all, highly recommend, especially if you like to be away from town, the feeling of being in the countryside with greenery and scenery around you.

Breakfast was simply delicious, i liked also the bungalow and the pool. Hosts were very nice and helpful, gave good recommendations ie about the cheapest ATM in the nearest area.

Holiday House Rastoke Pod Lipom er sumarhús í Slunj, 27 km frá Plitvička Jezera. Gististaðurinn er staðsettur við hliðina á fossi og státar af útsýni yfir árnar Korana og Slunjčica. Easy to find. Property provided parking pass. Property was clean and the beds were comfortable. Rastoke is such a cute village and we felt privileged to stay there. The house over the waterfall is so unique and quaint. The mother-in-law made us pancakes with jelly and they were delicious. It was a very kind gesture. I love how the locals do everything they can to keep the area preserved.

Holiday Homes Vita Natura státar af fjallaútsýni og gistirými með svölum, í um 12 km fjarlægð frá Plitvice Lakes-þjóðgarðinum - Inngangur 1. We were met on arrival by a lovely host who showed us around the place, gave us details on how to use everything and how to fuel the fire, the wifi codes, she even gave us a tour of the local national park via a map. The place was spotless, with a well stocked kitchen and great wifi. The hot tub had been warmed up for us and there was plenty of supplies for the evening. The beds were comfortable and the place is spacious and in an amazing location. The location is also a less than 10 minutes from a supermarket, a series of restaurants and the lakes.

A lovely warm welcome from our host with traditional plum liqueur and honey and a tour of the property. Loved the outdoor stone BBQ, hot tub and swimming in the nearby river. This property exceeded all our expectations and is conveniently located only a few kilometers away from the stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park.
