Used the public bus service to get around sightseeing.
Used the public bus service to get around sightseeing. We visited St Brelade's, St Aubin, the shops at Red Houses and Jersey Pearl. Also took a daytrip by sea to Guernsey (this was booked before we left home) the trip was terminated before the return sailing due to high winds/rough weather but the tour of the island was excellent and the tour company arranged and paid for flights back to Jersey. Jersey is nicely compact and has plenty to see and do even if you don't go for the beaches (we didn't)Guest review bySUZANNEUnited Kingdom - 10.0

What a lovely place to visit and stay! Lovely beachfront promenade which was both walking and cycling friendly. Wonderful cafes/restaurants along the walkway, which caters for different food choices.Guest review byKimUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The area of St Clements is lovely, great sandy beaches with free parking and clean public conveniences, and a few lovely pubs to eat at. Small supermarkets (Morrisons and Co-op) are also around and are open late. Easy access to the rest of the island without going through St Helier, if driving, and frequent buses to St Helier or Grouville.Guest review byVannnieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We had the castle behind us and the harbour in front of us which we were able to see from our room. The castle was worth a visit and the harbour and sea coming in and out was pleasant to view with a glass in your hand. Easy access to all over the island,we like history so were able to see the war tunnels and museum. I think we were staying in the right place, away from the hustle and bustle of the capital and other busy places.Guest review bySheilaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hotel is impressive on the outside, but the rooms are rather old-fashioned and very dark. That said, the ambience, the staff and the hospitality were all excellent. Breakfast was also excellent. Only improvements I would suggest are stronger light bulbs in the lights to make the rooms lighter and better lighting in the bathrooms so that one can better see when looking into the mirror. Also, it would be better for the environment and cheaper for the hotel if it installed soap, shampoo and conditioner wall dispensers, rather than the current tiny plastic-bottle versions.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
There is a huge and lovely beach here.
There is a huge and lovely beach here. The area is good for swimming/surfing and it is not too busy. There are lifeguards on a southern section of the beach. We spent a week on Jersey but we could easily have enjoyed a couple of weeks as, beyond the beach itself, there is miles of easily accessible coastline to walk and explore.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Jersey is not very big, but all the parishes have something to offer. St Saviour is on the East side of the island and close to St Helier town centre. Several good hotels and eating places. There is a Howard Davis Park, the War Tunnels, St Saviours Church, and the Hotel de Normandie has an Ayurvedic Spa, has several schools/colleges, and its famous people like Lillie Langtry (1853–1929), British-American socialite, actress and producer from St Saviour.Guest review byMulholland - 8.0

Great place to stay, picturesque, quaint, very 'chocolate box'. Fab if you like that sort of thing, I guess. It is a little off the beaten track but again, that's probably a plus. Not much choice for eating and what is there, apart from the 'Hungry Man' cafe, is not cheap. Could do with a general stores perhaps?Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

CLOSE TO THE BEACH WHICH HAS SEVERAL SMALL EATERIES WITHIN A 5 - 10 MINUTE WALK AND A VERY GOOD BUS ROUTE INTO THE MAIN TOWN OF ST HELIER IF YOU DON'T DRIVE. FOR COUPLES WITH CHILDREN TO ENTERTAIN THERE IS ALSO A FANTASTIC PLAY PARK CLOSE TO THE HOTEL (5 MIN WALK). IF YOU ARE DRIVING, WITHIN 5 MINS THERE ARE OTHER ATTRACTIONS SUCH AS HAMPTONNE FARM MUSEUM OR THE JERSEY WAR TUNNELS. BOTH WORTH A VISIT!Guest review byLe Bourgeois - BusinessJersey
