Taquile Island, Perù: cerca hotel

We had such a great time with Mario and Julia, and our stay at Isla Taquile wouldn't have been nearly as good without their company. Mario greeted us at the port when we arrived, and later in the day showed us around the island, explaining about inca ruins and answering all our questions about the culture and lifestyle of the people living on the island. Our room was clean and comfortable with many blankets, a table and chairs, and electric outlets (although Mario said only some of the rooms have this as of today). The shower was hot and Julia cooked us delicious food for dinner (additional cost) and breakfast (included in the booking). We also got to see a weaving demonstration by Julia, and bought some beautiful homemade textile crafts from them. There was spotty Entel reception on some parts of the island, but not in the village/accommodation; apparently Bitel works better on the island, but we didn't try it ourselves. We drank the water from the tank at their place with no issue, but they have boiled drinking water for guests if needed. I'd say some knowledge of Spanish is an advantage to get the most out of a stay here, as Mario and Julia speak Spanish and Quechua but not English. All in all an excellent way to get to experience the island and its culture!

Situato a 4 isolati dalla piazza principale, il Taquile Familia Celso offre sistemazioni a Quinuapata. Al mattino vi attende una colazione gratuita. Le camere sono dotate di bagno in comune. Tutto! Dall'accoglienza di Celso e Juana che ti fanno sentire veramente uno di loro alla colorata e calda camera fornita di coperte per la notte. La doccia é molto calda sia di giorno che di notte e ci sono 2 bagni con acqua funzionante (cosa non scontata su un'isola peruviana). La colazione (e la cena che si può aggiungere ad un costo molto modesto) sono state entrambe molto abbondanti e buone. Fatte in casa dalla padrona di casa seguendo le tradizioni locali. Ottima la disponibilità per delle dritte sui vari punti d'interesse di Taquile. Portate lo stretto necessario e lasciate meno tracce/rifiuti possibili. Una delle esperienze più belle mai fatte!

Edwin was super helpful and caring so I could arrive the accomodation without any problem. Views were astonishing and the peace was out of this world. Food was nice too. They gave me a better room than the one I booked because they had it free for that night.

Mi hanno aiutata a godere dell'isola di Taquile a 360 gradi, dandomi molte informazioni sull'isola e sulla loro cultura. Fantastico il terrazzo al piano superiore, panoramicissimo.

Featuring lake views, Richar’s home - experience Amantani with my family in Amantani features accommodation and a garden. I absolutely loved ,my stay with Richar, Lucrezia and their daughter Isabel. They made me feel so at home. I loved my very clean room with a spectacular view of the lake from a few windows! Also there is a balcony to hang out and lake/star gaze. IT is incredibly peaceful there. The food was delicious, home made and very healthy. I loved eating with the family. My spanish is not very good but I was able to communicate well with them and Richar taught me some important Quechua words and I learned a lot about their community. Richar also showed me around his garden and he explained what crops he is growing. I met his chickens, guinea pigs and sheep. Their daughter was a fantastic guide and took me to the beach and we walked up Apu Pachamama together which was very special. It was a very memorable experience and I will definitely come back! One thing is that the village is on the other side of the Island from where you come in by boat. I rode on the back of a motorcycle for 20 minutes to get there! It was a thrill and a beautiful way to see more of the island!

L'Inca Lodge - Amantani si trova a 37 km dal Porto di Puno, sull'Isola di Amantani. La struttura vanta anche un ristorante e una terrazza. Tutte le camere sono dotate di balcone. The accommodation is located in the community on the opposite side respect where the boat from Puno arrives. That's permitted to be the only tourist in this side of the island during our stay. You have to consider 20 soles per person to reach the accommodation from the pier with a motorbike. Otherwise you need at least 1 hour and 30 minute of walk. The host family is amazing, Justa prepared delicious meals and joined us for a while for the walking up to pacha mama on the top of the island. Amantanì is magic, it is a rural island surrounded by the lake. Stunning scenario where to relax and take great pictures. The night sky from the house is unforgettable.
