Positive section of review
Stews were excellent, chef was clearly an expert in those. Overall also the best all inclusive food I have had. Male bartender was also higly professional, very polite and tentative. As a Finnish, private sauna was really nice touch. We were staying on off-season, so it was free for prior notice once a day (30min). Jacuzzi was also included in the reservation. Free beach area was really near.

Positive section of review
Very clean, quiet and comfortable room. The location is right in the center of town. The staff is friendly and professional. Not a negative but the hotel is in a green zone that allows paid parking for up to 3 hours. We were there during the holidays but I'm not sure what you do during week days if you have a car.

- Great location in the center on the city, easy to walk anywhere or take the public transport - very good beds - new, spacious bathroom (see negative points below) - clean, spacious room - balcony in the room

- the shower was leaking and it took two visits in two days by the plumber to get it fixed (!) - no hot water in the room for 2 days during the stay. No advance advice of this by the management of the hotel. Only excuse was “we cannot do anything about it..” (!). No offer of reimbursement or not even an apology by the management. Very bad guest experience management. - 77 steps to the 3rd floor room: tough if one has a heavy luggage! - the balcony did not have any furniture: would need a small table and 2 chairs - the finishings of the staircase and entrances to floors not fully completed ( eg. unfitted carpets, ..)

Very disappointed with Novotel here. Not a very clean room, significantly small beds, no minibar, mediocre room service food and a very poor breakfast containing the cheapest salami, ham and cheese selection, cheapest frozen dishes , very low quality sausages, there's no such thing as fresh juice, it's only a diluted concentrate of different aromas and extremely, extremely poor coffee. If you want to drink the worst coffee in Sofia, this is the place to be. Not to mention, no window that could be opened, and the vent that was introducing fresh air inside the room was extremely dirty and full of dust, like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. It was my first time here and definitely my last!
