The road leading to the hostel is very steep and in bad condition, definitely need to be careful especially at night. Also I guess because it was the low season, I was the only staying in the hostel for 2 out of the 3 nights I stayed there which was a bit eerie especially at night time. But it was anyway very peaceful and I felt pretty safe, it was just a bit boring as a solo traveller.

The hostel is probably the nicest one I’ve ever stayed in, it was amazing to open the blinds and see the view of the sea. The hostel was designed really well. Staff were super nice and dropped me off around the island for a much cheaper price than the moped taxis outside. I slept super well here as it was so quiet and peaceful. There is not a lot to do around the hostel but It’s only a short moped ride to the busier parts of the island like mushroom bay or Jungutbatu, albeit over pretty bad roads.

From the moment we arrived at Bong the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, helped me with my bag and showed us to our room. They have a great free breakfast of pancakes and fruit in the morning and scooter hire is easy. Beds were so comfortable and had the most amazing sea view, the bathrooms are clean and had nice shower pressure. The pool and chill area is lovely, shady from the trees and a nice cold pool for when you need to cool off. Location for us wasn't an issue as we ride scooters but it is ontop of a very steep hill so if you aren't confident bear in mind you may need to walk up but we did see the staff kindly drive some girls down the hill on their bikes for them! We also booked a snorkel tour through the hostel which was brilliant and well priced. Free drinking water too. Absolutely perfect

Staff were mostly attentive except I had to ask a couple of times for them to clean the bathrooms. There was a leak in one of the ceilings which meant it was a bit smelly.

The views from this property are unbeatable, and the fact you can roll your bunk blind up and see the sea and the jungle is magical. The pod beds are great, comfy, private and spacious with good lighting and charging sockets. Lil swimming pool is great for cooling off and the sun deck is great for chilling out. Free breakfast was great!

If you are on the top bunk you don't have a curtain at the back which makes that a lot of light comes in the capsule. + it's very warm on the top bunk. The bathroom wasn't cleaned in the 3 days I was there.

The view, pool, chill area were very good. Also the people staying in the hostel were all very open and relaxed. Felt very welcome since the moment I walked in! Overall a good experience.

The road up to BONG is challenging. You must go slowly on scooter and go easy on the sharp uphill turn. We did see a guy drop his scooter and end up in the bushes (he was ok). Be careful. And brekky.... we need a bit more variety please. We don't eat gluten and only pancakes on offer (This is for the owner/manager)... but when we told them they made sure we had eggs the next day, so thanks for that. All in all, just so happy. Thanks everyone.

Whoever put this place together is 100% on point. It's literally perfect and I would love to live here. Everyone was so delightful, the staff, the people we met, (a young travelling group)... super sweet. Perfect funky pool, dorms were amazing and probably on par with my worldwide favourites. The view is GORGEOUS...nice and airy... no musty sleeps, clean as a whistle. Has an eco vibe too...solar panels as seen in photos. Special little touches like our purple flower tea and Bali coffee. What a gem...definately recommend and will come back and stay longer next time.

The location! This place and it’s location , your dorm bed overseeing the sea and being located up on a hill, you can see the opposite island (Nusa Ceningan) and the clear sky turning colours during early morning and evening hours. By far best stay which offers free breakfast along with bike rentals/arranges snorkelling trips. Very helpful staff. This place is basically a steal for what it offers 😅 PS: there’s a pool outside which again overlooks the sea :)

This is the most beautiful hostel I have lived ever.Amazing design,even the bathrooms are designed into details It is not very close to the main road,so very quite,which makes me feel peaceful.I even didn't want to go to other places. The room is very clean, the bed,towel and cover smell very good.I slept like a baby there. The staffs here are nice.very helpful. If I had more time I would definitely stay here longer. Although there is a slope up to the hostel, it's not that hard to ride. Believe me,I am a bad rider,I did it.

These are not dealbreakers for me but just a few things to take note of: - the steep upslope. best to turn on have some light (your phone's) in the night - if youre a light sleeper, do bring earplugs or plug in your earpiece and have an eyemask on because you can hear every little sound. the blinds are pretty loud when rolling them up and down

Bathroom could have been a little cleaner - often had to ask for top ups of soap/ toilet roll. The rooms was very hot on the first day but they managed to fix it - aircon could be a little cooler. The driveway up to the hostel is very dodgy on a scooter!

This is the most beautifully designed hostel I have ever stayed in. With a tree house effect and amazing views from every single bed! The rooms are spacious with lovely bed areas and the communal area is beautiful! Showers had a lovely outdoor effect! Staff are super friendly and responsive.

The driveway up to the property is very sketchy on a scooter! You need a scooter to get around as this is the opposite side of the island from a lot of going on’s.

Showers need a looking at, mine flooded the entire floor and my bag got drenched. The paths around are very bumpy so only those who are okay with motorbike should come. Fruit provided at breakfast could have been fresher - the watermelon was a little old. Also that mango tree by the pool is a little bit of a safety concern as they fall frequently!

Fantastic view from my bunk bed of the sea. The morning breakfast with music was relaxing. A great space to meet people and the secluded nature of the hostel meant less tourists and hagglers. The pool was lovely and the beanbags and other seating was nice. The location is very relaxing since it is away from any main roads.
