Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Bed was to soft. Needs a screen door so it could be left open and bugs dont come in. the room gets hot and could do with a fan.
Loved the quite area . Owner was very friendly and is very close to a shop and local pub . Had everything we needed

The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable to sleep on, but the main bed was really nice.
Had everything we needed, and worth the price. Was nice and quiet, with good views.

Communication with owner as we had no instructions re access and the owners were away. We found our way in and all was ok in the end. Owners got in touch following morning. A small fan would have been good as room was so hot!

Nothing that we really didn't like. The only thing that could be mentioned is that is not the nearest to town centre but not far either as it is around 10 min drive (it didn't bothered us as we were travelling by car)
Unit was very private, spacius, self contained, well equiped and super clean; the decoration made us feel like home. The owners are lovely and caring but gave us space and independency at the same time, allowed us to use media platforms and unit had free wifi; they also had a pair of cute wee little friendly dogs who came to cheer us prior leaving. The continental breakfast was good and fresh also had some treats and beverage available for extra but a bargain as well. Good hot shower pressure. Very close to Shantytown and the beach as well as to some grocery shops.

All good
The hosts, Kriston & Melia were really nice. The self contained unit was lovely with everything we needed for our stay. It looked like new and was directly behind the hosts house. Easy flat surface to negotiate our suitcases from the car. Cereal, bread & jams for breakfast and there was even drinks in the fridge and a basket of snacks that were very reasonably priced. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Unable to store the couch away in the morning to give us more wriggle room. Bathroom would benefit from a showerdome.
Reached our expectations with accurate descriptions and photos. Loved having the couch/ bed made up for us since we needed it for our booking.

The manner in which the unit was made available no one on site and when I finally phoned got a casual key is on the table in the unit no other contact was made at all we just drove away

The provided breakfast was some bread for toast, a couple of cereal options and a few pieces of fruit. I was expecting a bit more given it's in the title of the property, but that's on me for making an assumption I guess. It would be good to be clear in the description what the breakfast is to set expectations (if it's there I couldn't find it). We ended up going out for breakfast.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The hosts were lovely and the location was perfect for us. Would definitely recommend. Also highly recommend the nearby Paroa Motel for both dinner and breakfast which is easily in walking distance.

We thought there was not enough room if you booked for two singles or two doubles. We were two single and the fold out bed took up a lot of room. Also the fold out bed was a bit uncomfortable.
