Kitchen could do with an upgrade: broken oven and leaking fridge. Off season you might prefer having a hire car as it’s a little away from the city and easier to reach the beach and other places on the island.

Perfect winter stay in a beautiful mansion with all the comforts of home. Absolutely lovely staff who were super helpful and friendly, always taking the time for a quick chat and making recommendations for things to see on the island. Beds are comfortable, good private bathroom, reliable WiFi, full kitchen facilities. Pool in the garden with a lovely yoga area.

It's a big walk to the city center, but I would say most of the people that go to São Miguel rent a car, so that won't be a problem for most of the visitors. Also, don't be put off because of that, because there are hourly buses just next door that connect to the city center, which was very helpful for me in the middle of a storm.

Perfect stay, totally recommend it. I was attending a game in the stadium next to the hotel, so for me the location was just perfect. The room was big and had everything that I needed for a great night, and all the facilities (full kitchen, lounge, swimming pool) were also very good for the price. There was a huge storm the day I stayed and the staff was incredibly helpful, saved me of getting totally soaked to the airport. Thank you, will stay again next time!

The salt water pool was fantastic!! The staff were exceptional and very attentive to our needs. We very much enjoyed our visit and hope to spend time visiting with our newly found friends sometime in the near future.

We could hear the front door closing and opening which was disruptive at times. Bathroom and room become quite damp after showers but this is also in part due to the island's high humidity. Everyone has breakfast together which is lovely but it means that if you need to leave earlier than 9 am, you will miss out.

The staff and guests at Salt Lips are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have joined more activities (yoga, surfing, island tour), but as we were not aware of this we had prebooked tours/rental car. The breakfasts and dinners were amazing. Lots of facilities such as pool table, swimming pool, lounge to keep you entertained. We were able to make use of the washing machine and dryer which was a lifesaver during our 6 week Europe trip.

While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay overall, there were a couple of aspects that we found disappointing. Firstly, we noticed that the curtains in our room were dirty, which took away from the overall cleanliness of the space. Additionally, we encountered some issues with broken lights in the common areas, which affected the ambiance and functionality of those areas. Despite these minor inconveniences, we still appreciated the efforts of the staff and the overall experience at the accommodation.

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay! The level of attention and care from the staff was exceptional, and they always went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They were incredibly accommodating and readily catered to our every request. Additionally, we were delighted by the optional program that was available for purchase. It added an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip and allowed us to make the most of our time there. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of our stay and would highly recommend it to others.

I mixed up the description of the "pool" table in the belief it was a pingpong table when I booked, so I really missed the ping pong table which I had much looked forward to beat my boyfriend in.

A grand joy to arrive into this welcoming oasis in Ponta Delgada, I got greeted by kind people who were genuinly interested in me, a rare bijou in these lands - you are far more then a customer. You are home. Easygoing, I had the opportunity to rest and be by myself, drink a coffee or play the guitar in the hammocks, or I could indulge in the cosy socialness of thought-through activities like surfing or a three-course meal by an amazing cook who brings some vegetables from his own garden. I´ts a well balanced atmosphere of community and down to earth-service. Every person who worked at this place was very loving and well-meaning people who´d Id wanted to talk more to, it was just too much fun stuff to do. And the beach is just a free electric bicycle-ride away rolling down the hills. Oh! And the BEDS were the best on the island (- and I´ve been to quite many.)

The property is super cozy and clean! Alex's breakfasts are delicious and always have a beautiful presentation :) .. They have surf lessons, yoga, swimming pool, hammocks, guitar, chess, so many things to entertain yourself. I would recommend this place and def will come back! :D

Incredible place with amazing vibes and great location! Ideal for someone that is looking for surfing, like minded people and a truly home feeling. This is the type of place where you make friends at the very first second you arrive. Beds are super clean, hosts are really friendly, everything was very uncomplicated and location couldn't be be better. I loved the breakfast a lot, everyday was different and always tasty! Definetly will come back, highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my time at Salt Lips. The house is great and very clean. The vibe and the team in the Villa very chilled and friendly. Every morning we got surprised with a Breakfast special by Alexandra :) then we went surfing and in the afternoon there was an option to book a yoga session. There is plenty of space to work and the garden is big and has a pool, skateramp and billiard table. The location of the Surf house is close to the ocean and the different surf spots. The city is also not far and overall its a perfect base for exploring all the different spots of the island. Ill be back in the summer, then for the full surf package experience.

My time at Salt Lips was amazing! The house is completely new and super beautiful, it has everything you need for a great holidays. Would say it has the right amount of luxury combined with the vibe of the island! The breakfasts were delicious and all staff were wonderful. Not to talk about the warm nights in front of the fire pit by the pool :) It was hard to leave!

The location was nearby Ponta Delgada and the airport, but was located at a very busy road. Also the curtains were very thin, so you wake up very early. And the last point, it was a accomodation where animals were prohibited, but they own a dog. We chose this accomodation because no animals were allowed, but at breakfast there was a big dog.

It was very clean and they offer you many facilities. You can go out for surfing in the morning, in the afternoon you can go on a tour and in the night they can cook for you.
