Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe rooms are basic ,but this is what i wanted for my son to experience since we re in Thailand, I wanted few days for him where he can get close to Thai people, blend in a village with them etc . And saying that the rooms are basic , they are indeed , but it’s cool in the night time and I could sleep perfectly there . I am now at a posh resort on Lonely beach , where I didn’t sleep at all, as fan to noisy , very hot in the bungalow and lots of mosquito. So probably I would prefer the basic but very clean accommodation at Family hut.
I loved the location , being so close to Klong Kloi beach -4 min away walking distance , but it n the same time with a feel like you re blending with the locals , hidden away of the touristy beach y area . I liked the warmth and the kindness of the administrator , Nau, I like the fact that I could sleep at night and it was quite cool and the fans weren’t too noisy like at other resorts. The owner doesn’t provide food but you have a lovely coffe next door to the bungalows , mandala coffee , 1 min away. Also the best pizza in town is just opposite the Family huts bungalows. The quietness of the place , the fact that weren’t to many mosquitos , the nice people from the village, the authentic vibe staying there. The lovely beach that is not very busy and you can walk along .

United KingdomAbsolutely brilliant little huts. The guy who runs things here is so nice and very welcoming. The huts are really well thought out. They are nice and spacious, have a good bed, small table and hanging area. A good bathroom - all very clean, hot shower. Really nice terrace area to each hut with a table, chairs, settee bench and hammock - perfect. Nice planting surrounding each one. There is also a kitchen here which was great - fridge, kettle, hob, rice cooker, microwave, coffee sachets. All kept super clean. There are some lovely eating places right on the beach with good food for 80 Baht. The 7 eleven which has everything is a 20 minute easy walk (and cheaper restaurants around here) or there is the rasta shop - about 10 minutes walk has most stuff. Incredible value for money, a really lovely quiet place to stay. Just a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach - sunsets are amazing.

Lovely hut to stay in with a comfy bed, good warm shower and fan. The owner (Nu?) was so lovely and helpful and he has two cute cats! Only 20 mins walk to Ban Bao where there is 7-11 and the pier with shops/diving/tours etc. loads of nice places to eat nearby, including veggie places.

ThailandIf you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t the place. If you don’t mind a little extra effort, everything you need is here.
It’s in a very natural setting, near the quiet beaches of Klong Kloi.. perfect to get away. The owner is very nice and his pets say hello every day. For the price, you can’t beat it.
