The metal base of the bed. My feet kept hitting it, making a big clanging noise.

The room I had had an adjoining room with it. It was basically a closet with a bed in it. There was no light in this room, so the clerk brought me a tiny table lamp. The bathroom sink was loose from the wall( I think the caulking was the only thing holding it there). There was only one working plug in the entire room, so we had to take turns charging devices(inconvenient with smart devices these days!). Overall, the stay was adequate, but barely.

The smell of the cleaner used. Also a very dated hotel, but clean and comfortable and convenient location.

The toilet seat was cracked and it did pinch skin when sat on. Bed frame hollow metal made loud sounds when we bumped it with our feet on accident; also makes obvious deep sounds when rolling over on bed.

The location is amazing, rooms are simple and just what you need for a chill and quick stay. Hot water took a while to warm up however it was able to get really hot! Easy browsing cable channels on TV, aircon for hot and humid days.

Shower didn't work; no hot water in the sink ...

Room was fine; there was no breakfast; location was perfect (morning walks on the beach). Couldn't get the shower to work, no hot water in the sink, no coffee set-up, good responses from staff ... you get what you pay for. I was not disappointed.

I can deal with outdated but it wasn’t clean and for the price it was irritating. There was a used nicotine patch stuck to the bathroom window and the floors were filthy. You’re paying for location and that is absolutely it. There were some definitely sketchy people hanging around the property and doing things at all hours of the night.

Lilly was very personable. She checked us in but that was the extent of any hospitality. The only thing that redeems this place is the location.

Didn't get to stay. The whole bottom level flooded. With that said Management was great. They called before arrival and set us up at another location, gave us a fireside parking for the entirety of our stay and offered a discount on our next stay.

Booked two rooms, for three people (me, my mother and my nephew), was moved into one room. No WiFi. Very noisy neighbours

The Fireside in had water damage so I was moved day of. The other location (Ocean Gate)wasn’t an easy walk to the beach, further from where I needed to be, and had extremely loud auto traffic. The fella who checked me in was not very pleasant either.

The shower was a bit weak and there was a metal frame to the bed we kept hitting our feet on. But other than that it's a budget overnight style motel.

The staff were super accommodating and very vigilant with getting us sorted with a room. It was a simple hotel with parking included which was helpful as it's location was right in the heart of the CBD area. It isn't anything flash but it's location is perfect if you are checking out the pier.

Proprietor charged an additional $20.00 for our 17 year old. Even though the room had a king bed and a full in the second room. 3 people total.

They never refunded me the money extra I paid for a night I have had booked and I didn't use. My room got flood because the room up of mine used the tub. They never tell you you have to ask so housekeeping clean your room. Ig you do not ask they don’t clean it.

Upon arrival the room door didn’t lock and the staff requested to get it fixed while we stay in the room. My husband and I wanted to get dinner so we requested another room. The manager of the property arrived and up graded the room. She stated that I was to only have two guest, it didn’t change from the time I checked in!

it was very dingy, my additional door clasp for security was broken and just hanging so it felt a little unsafe. the window locks didn’t work I had to use a wooden dowel they offered to put in window.

The keycards didn’t work so we got a (master) key. Door was difficult to open with the key. Everything was what you could expect for this price but wouldn’t recommend for a longer stay.

Stayed one night and was fine for that purpose.
