Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNeeds a refurbish, built 1970s as has popcorn ceilings. Room could have been cleaner - bathroom door had dirty marks around the door handle. Kitchenette not well supplied as only 2 bowls, 2 mugs and some cultery. Some fresh fruit at breakfast would be nice. Outside street was noisy as not double glazed windows - Waikiki is very busy and noisy.
Very central in Waikiki. Easy to bus to from the airport. Small hotel compared to most in Waikiki. Large room, comfy bed, large bathroom and relaxing bath. Linen was ok. Plenty of bath towels. Small kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Breakfast was adequate. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops etc. 5 minute stroll to beach. Nice eaterys - sushi burgers, juices - and restaurants next to hotel.

United KingdomBreakfast could have added confectionery to go with the croissants. Bathroom facilities are dated, but I believe a refurbishment is do to take place.
Ideally positioned for the beach(10 minutes) and the shopping centre (2 minutes). Those without own transport could access the bus to many parts of the island at a reasonable cost(3 dollars a journey) at the end of the street. Checking out time was convenient for those leaving the island at a later stage in the day.

United States of AmericaEvery night /early morning between midnight to 2 am there was noise on Lewer St. Sometimes it sounded like fighting and other times it was one person shouting to themselves. I don’t think the Hotel did anything about it. I did not complain because by morning was preoccupied with my agenda.
I like that the hotel it is in walking distance from the beaches , local shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly. The hotel provided cold water all day in the lobby and sometimes tea. Across the street is a bike rental.

New ZealandLocation is great - only a 10 minute walk to the beach, less than a 2 minute walk to the main road and shopping, restaurants. Very close to the trolley lines - which was very handy! Comfy beds and attentive, helpful and friendly staff.

AustraliaTwice in our short stay the pool was closed for maintenance. The pool area is OK but they could do a lot more with it.
Excellent location near beach, transport, shopping. Good size room, comfortable bed, good shower. Breakfast OK, same each day, reminded me of workplace catering, but enough food for a quick bite before heading out. Staff did their jobs.

CanadaThe building is on the older side with outdated furniture in the room. The fridge in our room was visibly dirty on the outside and not appealing.
Friendly staff, convenient location to nearby beach, restaurants and shopping area. I appreciate the ice water being available in the lobby anytime of the day. Our bathroom had a bidet and the kitchen had most things you need for simple cooking.

United States of AmericaWe wished the A/C was a bit stronger and that the breakfast wasn't the same (very small) thing every day, but overall it was great. Also, we spilled something on the floor and went to wipe it up and saw how dirty the carpet was actually..
The location made it easy to walk to most places so we didn't have to worry about a car, the staff was very friendly, and the room was good sized. The lobby and all the plants were beautiful

United States of AmericaThe room decore was a bit outdated but the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast would be my biggest complaint. I cannot eat too many carbs for my health and the entire breakfast daily was all carbs. Bread, muffins, and croissants. It would have been nice to have a little turkey and cheese or egg. We ended up at the IHOP that is just down the street and around the corner for half our stay.
This hotel was very centrally located. Close to restaurants, beach, zoo, a short drive to Pearl Harbor, Shopping, University of Hawaii, Manoa.

Great location and price . I’ve stayed at a ton of places around Waikiki and this is the most spacious “budget minded” hotel I’ve stayed at . Lovely outdoor lobby too.
