Although known for the Nuremberg Trials, this Bavarian city has a stunning medieval core of cobbled streets and half-timbered buildings that wouldn’t look out of place in a fairytale. Sitting above this is the castle, one of the most important in the Holy Roman Empire. Take the steep walk up here for fantastic old town views.
Hauptmarkt square in the old town is home to an unusual-looking church and a Gothic fountain, spectacularly lit during the annual Nuremberg Christmas markets. Selling everything from wooden toys to lebkuchen (gingerbread), these are widely considered the best Christmas markets in Germany.
Other attractions in Nuremberg (Nürnberg in German) include the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, the country’s largest museum of culture and art. Another highlight is the Heilig-Geist-Spital, a medieval hospital by the Pegnitz River.
A word must also be said about its relationship with Nazism. On the south-east corner are the immense Nazi Rally Grounds and Party Congress Hall, built in appropriately domineering fashion. The excellent Documentation Centre here is a sensitive and unbiased portrayal of life under Hitler. It is also possible to visit the courtroom where the war trials were held.
Before leaving your Booking.com apartment, hotel or hostel to go to Nuremberg Airport, don’t forget to try the spicy local sausage!

Room was furnished with cheap furniture, for what we paid for the room, I have never felt this ripped off. The doorways were 6' 4" inches and I am 6' 6". Felt like they went to Frank Lloyd Wright to design the room..
I would not recommend this property.

Nuremberg is a lovely and very scenic little city.
Nuremberg is a lovely and very scenic little city. I took a thousand photos of memorable traditional sights. Everything is within walking distance and people are quite friendly in general. I discovered a great photo shop called FOTOMAX and will only buy my cameras from there now.
There is a sense of easy living and peace there.

Well-located and easy to find.
Well-located and easy to find. They have a restaurant on the ground floor which serves delicious food. Quiet and clean. The price per night was a little expensive but considering the Interzoo exhibition was a good deal.
No coffee or tea facilities sadly. Also, the lift was not working. Apart of that the staff was lovely.

It's a charming little city, with rich history and lovely churches. It is an hour outside of Munich, and there is an easily accessible train station to get there. I think it is worth visiting and a hidden gem of Bavaria.

A very beautiful city with excellent options for everyone:...
A very beautiful city with excellent options for everyone: long walks in the parks or on the river banks and beautiful bridges; historic sites, castle and interesting museums; beautiful streets and wonderful traditional houses; monuments and statues; nice shopping streets with low and high end shops and brands; lively restaurants and terraces with great food options. It really has everything you could want for a great holiday . Do not miss the castle, Dürer house, Germanisches nationalmuseum, Fembohaus. As well, take the train to Bamberg, a real jewel city, just 40 minutes away.
This little hotel is a gem, tucked away on a side street across from the Old Town wall and just an easy 5 minute walk from the Hbf. It’s spotless, charming, comfortable, staffed by the nicest people and about half the price of everything else nearby. The only negative was that my room was not air conditioned, but that’s rarely a problem in Nurnberg. During the daytime, the room was still comfortably cool and nights with the windows open were Heaven. There was little traffic or noise from the street just below.
The hotel is ideally located near the station and old town, with easy walking access to all the main attractions and restauraunts. A special shout out to the front office girl called "Tara" who changed our room to a better one where the windows could be opened, she was very friendly and helped us a lot. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but the rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Although we did not visit the gym and sauna facilities, there were open to be used.
Great traditional style property located in central old town. Superb restaurant in the hotel which you really should try when here. Good quality breakfast included. Staff very friendly and helpful.
If you want a ticket for trams/trains consider getting one from reception for two days as cheaper than you can get online.
Traditional style rooms , great shower . Can be a little noisy outside front with window open so ask for a fan if need be and close window.
We stayed on the top floor and had a nice view (out of a gable window) across to the northside of the river. The room was very cozy and everything was clean and in great condition. The location is awesome, right next to the river in the old town with a ton of restaurants, historic sites and shopping within a short walk. The hotel restaurant and bar were very nice and had very kind and helpful staff. It made our first trip to Nuremberg very special.
I stayed a total of 10 nights at Hotel Vosteen for my current visit to Nurenberg. I found the bed & breakfast to be the ideal home away from home for my visit. The accommodations were delightful & quiet & homey. I look forward to my next stay at Design Boutique Hotel Volsteen. The location is within walking distance to old town Nurenberg& beautiful Max Park close by. Thank you to staff & owner!!
Hotel Victoria was an excellent choice for our weekend visit to Nuremberg. The location was very central - 2 mins from the main train station and also the old town and all its fabulous sights. The hotel was very clean and superb buffet breakfast. The staff was first class - extremely helpful and pleasant - a lot of hotels could learn how staff should welcome and care for guests.
It is a cosy little hotel with central location, just around th corner of main shopping street that leads to city centre and main square. One can park in the garage near to hotel (100m away). Room was nice and cosy, facilities were good kept. Breakfast is self-service. I just was missing scramled eggs and Nurnberg sausages of course! :) I would definitely reccomend staying here.
Very nice hotel, in the old town of Nürnberg. The breakfast was perfect. The staff and service was very pleasant and professional. Parking was in a private garage with lots of space. All together perfect stay. Thank you for your top hospitality. We're looking forward staying at your hotel again. Cu Martin and Carolyn McNally
The breakfast is as good as being described on the website. Never seen this choice of food anywhere else. Location of Burgschmied Hotel is just on the the edge with the Old Town of Nurnberg, so you can visit most things by foot. For other parts of Nurnberg the Tram line is on the corner. We would choose this Hotel again.
The hotel is located under 5 mins walk from the main train station and also very walkable to the old town area. Room and bathroom was quite small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was standard fare with enough options and quite tasty. Room was ready for early check-in for an additional charge.
Excellent modern hotel in the vicinity of Nurnberg city centre. Large and clean rooms, very good, oppulent and tasty breakfast, friendly english speaking staff. Parking paid for night can be extended free of charge for the following day.
Located in the heart of the Old Town, we just love this gem of a hotel. Great folks at reception, easy walk to the castle, Christmas Market and shopping. The room a are clean, quiet, and comfortable with a delicious breakfast buffet.
Very clean, spacious and modern room. Ideal location right next to U-bahn and 1 stop ride to the old town. First time in Nürnberg but I will definitely pick this hotel if I come here again.
Excellent location within walking distance from the train station and Old Town. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel. Staff were friendly and very courteous.
