Fantastic location. Views straight out of the picture window.
Room was always clean and tidy as was the shower/toilet.
Great selection for breakfast - cereals, juices etc. all the way up to full cooked breakfast.
Lots of choice on the menu, with specials, for the evening meal. Very good sized portions as well. Had to skip dessert a couple of times - bit gutted about that!
Staff always friendly and helpful.
Easy parking outside.

Beautiful scenery, captivating rivers and hillsides, quiet and peaceful. National Trust areas and Castle Drogo very nearby so lots to enjoy and learn something of the background and history to the area. Lovely walks and bird song abound!

Excellent choice of places to eat, pubs and cafes.
Excellent choice of places to eat, pubs and cafes. Good range of shops with butchers and bakers as well as a Spar convenience store. Bowden hardware was a real highlight, an alladins cave... Something for everyone! The main reason for our visit was the local walks, Fenworthy Reservoir and Castle Drogo were two we enjoyed, would go further next time. Very dog friendly area.

Chagford is a lovely village with great country walks pleasant shops and cafe and lovely country pubs very dog friendly so if your looking for a peaceful country retreat then i highly recommend Chagford

Beautiful small town with a very vibrant atmosphere. There were three craft exhibitions on over the weekend we were there. Good choice of pubs for a small town and some good independent shope aswell.

Such a pretty market town, Lots of independent shop and cafes. Plenty of scenic walks. Chagford has an outdoor fresh water swimming pool set in very scenic surroundings. Breath taking views of the surrounding countryside. The town itself is bursting to the seams with very old buildings and cottages (some thatched) and is steeped in history.LesleyUnited Kingdom

The superior twin room was more like a suite with a beautiful view overlooking the Church and grounds. I really enjoyed my evening meal by the fireplace and the food was delicious and affordable. Chagford is a magical place, absolutely stunning. I felt that my bedroom, the small details such as dressing gowns, quality of furnishings were really five star quality.

Lots of spare pillows, beautiful little village with some really sweet local attractions like Castle Drogo and if you have young children the Miniature pony centre is just down the road and a really lovely day out.
