Everything was fabulous! Room clean and well appointed, hosts welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was amazing with bonus of freshly baked bread and pancakes. Cherry on the top was the fact these was an EV charging station which was very reasonable priced, and meant an un-interrupted journey for my grandson and I the following day. I'll definitely book again if I'm in the area.

This reviewer spends over 100 nights a year in hotels on business and leisure. Very, very rarely does a hotel create such an unparalleled experience as the Knipoch House Hotel. To list the ways in which this hotel excels would take too many words. But exception must be made in the case of the staff, who were all outstanding. Let us hope this hotel, and the three others in the group, become the benchmark by which other hotels are judged.
Great location. Hotel upgraded us to a loch view. Breakfast was super. Views from hotel fabulous. Staff were outstanding in all areas. Good selection of drinks at bar. Evening fire pits a great added bonus.

Everyone working there were professional and friendly.
Everyone working there were professional and friendly. The hotel was spotless and showed the benefits of a recent refurb. We ate in the hotel the first night and the food was of a very high standard. Our room was in the newer wing (Room Fyne).. there are four rooms in a line with wonderful views over the loch... and I believe these rooms are slightly bigger than those in the older wing.
The rooms, restaurant, bar and lounge were spotless. We had a minor issue with plumbing (the shower temp was cool), were told that they had reduced the water pressure to our room and that would be remedied asap.
There is a full size snooker table in its own lounge that we may use the next time.
On our next night and at the suggestion of the hotel manager, we ate at the Kilchrenan Inn ( 5 mins drive from the hotel; you have to book as it is very popular). They just don't now how good they are. It was one of the nicest meals we have every had in Scotland. We could have chosen every option as the menu was so varied!
All in all, a huge surprise and an excellent stay at the Taychreggan hotel. Many thanks.

This is a very comfortable hotel with good rooms, friendly and efficient staff. The hotel has a beautiful location on the shores of Loch Awe.
We ate in the hotel each night; food was very good.
Kilchrenan is located some miles down a single track road; this means that each time you go out sightseeing you initially have to use this road.
In this part of Argyll there are many outdoor things to see and do such as hill walking, visits to Oban and elsewhere.

As I have communicated already to you, when we arrived , after booking some 8 weeks before, we discovered that no booking had been made and that there was no room in the hotel for us. This reflects extremely badly on your company , we wish you to organise a new date for us to visit the hotel at no cost to ourselves except for food and drink
Everything. It was so idyllic. The firepits by the Loch sold it to me. The weather had been so dreadful at home never in my wildest dreams did I envisage sitting outside until gone 11pm. Just fabulous. The room was comfortable, the bed was huge and our dog was warmly welcomed, breakfast and dinner were amazing. We pushed out the boat and went for the Tomahawk which was just delicious. The bar service was spot on and the fire pits just made our stay so perfect. Have recommended to so many friendsand will definitely return
The Taychreggan Hotel is a charming and lovely place located right on Loch Awe. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were treated like royalty. The hotel is secluded in a beautiful setting and the grounds are pristinely maintained. The room was very comfortable and extremely clean and quiet. The food at both dinner and breakfast was delicious. The bar cozy and inviting. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here and will definitely come back for a lovely weekend get away. Wish we had stayed more than one night.
The hotel is in a quiet and in a serene spot close to Loch Awe. Its interior design is quirky but tasteful and restaurant overlooks loch. The bedroom was comfortable and all that we needed was provided. The staff were all friendly and willing to make suggestions regarding our stay and the area. You felt like one of the family, they were all very welcoming. The dinner deserves 11/10 it was superb and tasty and varied choice as was the breakfast.
Thank you for making our one night stay so memorable.
The hotel is in the most beautiful location, down a long winding driveway, surrounded by beautiful scenery. We even saw deer in the grounds. The food was very, very good and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help me when I lost my phone charger, and were chatty and helpful during breakfast and dinner, recommending wines and whiskeys. The communal area of the hotel are beautiful and cosy.
Outstanding experience! By far our favorite place that we’ve stayed in Scotland during our 2 weeks trip. Truly an experience, not just a hotel. Maxime, who works there, went above and beyond to make our stay even better than it already was. Gorgeous property surrounded by a beautiful nature! Saw 2 baby deers while driving in 😍. Restaurant food (both breakfast and dinner) were great too!
Returned here for a second time as it certainly left an impression, and it was just as good!
The rooms are very spacious (stayed in a standard room and was still exceptionally big), the food options (bar/a la carte/tasting menu) were all full of choice!
The staff are all fantastic and make you feel very comfortable.
Stunning view of Loch Awe and will return many times I’m sure!
The option to have the restaurant menu or the bar menu.
The breakfasts and the gf offering
The staff and thoughtfulness
The location and views were superb
The various places to be in the hotel such as the courtyard and the orangery. The fire pits were an excellent idea for sitting out in the evening.
Snooker table full size.
We love the hotel. It is a beautiful old house within a glorious setting. Gary gave us the warmest of welcomes and was attentive to all our needs. He added a real quality to our stay with his cheerfulness, humor, and knowledge. The rest of the staff were great too. Our rooms were beautiful and the food delicious.
Location was stunning. Out in the middle of nowhere and right on the banks of the Loch. Food was exceptional, beautiful dinners the two nights we stayed. Great choice of breakfast and staff more than happy to accommodate requests that were not stated on the menu.
We absolutely LOVED everything about this property. The staff was so kind and accommodating, the food was absolutely incredible, and the views were spectacular. We hope to visit Scotland again some day just so we can stay again!
Varied menu, excellent value for money and a real dining experience with friendly well informed staff who worked so well as a team and made our holiday so comfortable. The hotel felt more like staying in a large country house
Really lovely stay. Location was fantastic and the staff were very attentive. We had dinner one night which was delicious. It is a very very quiet hotel, which some people may really enjoy. I would recommend a stay.
Stunning location and attractive grounds on Loch Awe.
Room was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.
Staff were friendly and professional and food was excellent.
Very good hotel in a stunning location, staff very friendly, helpful and had a good knowledge of the area, great place to relax, unwind and enjoy a good selection of Whiskies.
