The hotel is located ~3 min to the beach (we expected it to be on the beach) which in 90+ weather was a challenge for the kids and old folks as the beach is VERY wide. The breakfast was absolutely awesome! There was something for every age and likes from scrambled eggs to waffles, bacon and sausage, corned beef hash to cereals, yogurt, juices, good coffee, breads and rolls and lots more. The room was a good size and the beds were soooooo comfortable. No trouble falling asleep there. The pillows were comfy and plentiful. Good hotel for the $$ And the staff was very accomodating and pleasant too!

I love the area, with the style & ambience of miami a-bit-further south, but without the crowds nor the over-the-top lifestyle --- the number of mid-age & older gay white men to meet ✓all-around broward county, not just in the adjacent wilton-manors & oakland-park areas, is good 😉

Everything was really nice, they could offer a complimentary breakfast like other hotels, not just coffee. And when working in job like motel work staff should be able to understand the customer. I ask a housekeeper a question, she told me she doesn't speak English.Nothing against it we have all races in the US, some English should be understood.

This was our second visit to the Lago Mar, albeit 18 years ago we were there the first time. We came back for the pleasant atmosphere and vibe and we were not dissappointed. Time is standing still when in the Lago Mar, relaxing around resort and beach. Sure, time has taken it's toll on the property, but in a good way. Everything is nicely kept in what could be the 1960's. Don't expect a minimalistic, modern hotel, but a charming Florida decor. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Surely we will be back.

We had an ocean view suite. To get to the beach we had to go down one elevator, walk across a skywalk and the down another elevator, then walk a long path to a beach that was half fenced off for loud construction. The staff was rude, we were in Florida for a long stay with 3 hotels. We checked out early after one night and moved on. I liked nothing about the property. The pool was also a nightmare. Wall to wall screaming pool 1/10th the size needed for this size resort and milky colored water.

I LOVE this hotel. Actually, the owners own several properties in short distance. Its maybe a half block from the beach, so there are no resort fees, or extra fees placed on your card as a hold. Nice little bar area with the pool and the staff are AMAZING. It was a 5 dollar uber ride to all the eateries, or a little walk. We have stayed here 3 times, 2 before our cruises out of Miami, (45 dollars for an uber to get to the port) and about 20 to get from FLL Airport.

Just two minute walk to a CVS, Five minute walk to IHOP, Publix and Galleria Mall. Just behind the hotel you can get the best Pizza. 45 min walk through Victoria Park area and you will get to Las Olas, only 10$ with a Über. 20 min walk to the beach. I would love to come back!

The price was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the beach area. Very good breakfast and nice helpful staff. Because of covid, there were no restaurants close to the hotel open after 10pm. But there were good options for delivery service, very good and not expensive. Easy walk to the beach, the hotel has beach chairs for use on the beach.

Old style (1950s) Florida Motel. Clean, with helpful staff. The price was very reasonable considering you are in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area.
