What a fabulous apartment and a lovely owner! We were lucky enough to be the first ever people to stay here, and everything is brand new as it has been fully refurbished. Just a short walk away from the town centre, and with off road parking, it was like a home from home. The little personal touches gave it the extra magic :) I was blown away when we first entered, it was warm, cosy and inviting. I'll never stay in a Travelodge or Premier Inn again if we're back in Hereford, this apartment is a million times lovelier, and we didn't have to eat out for every meal either as we had our own (brand new) kitchen. Thank you so much Dorota for your hospitality :)

Hereford is a lovely city, very compact, many useful shops, beautiful cathedral, very very well worth visiting. Plenty of cafes and food places to eat. It is very easy to get to. We used the trains and buses to get to places such as Great Malvern with the famous lamps (Narnia, fabulous for stunning scenery) Ross on Wye (charming), Ludlow (interesting, beautiful buildings), Leominster (many antique shops). There is a Zipper bus which takes you around the town and to the train station for nothing (yes free!) People are so friendly (they say “Good morning” to you) not like London!

Hereford is a stunning county to visit.
Hereford is a stunning county to visit. Amazing cathedral and city to visit, pedestrians only in city. Lots of cafes and places to eat. River Wye is stunning and Symmonds Yat worth a visit. Maybe you will see a Peregrin Falcon there. Lots to do. The local theatre The Courtyard always has something on. There is a fabulous Cinema as well.

So much history and wonderful, old buildings in quite a small, easily walkable area. The Black and White House and the Catholic church, were particularly interesting. The Mappa Mundi and Cathedral are obviously worth a visit.
The lack of cars in some streets was great. Far more relaxing without them.
Good choice of eateries (e.g. Ponte Vecchio, The Bookshop, All Saints cafe).
The outdoor market stalls were a delight but the indoor market needs a upgrade. Lots of potential.
There is also a nearby walk in the countryside along the river bank, via Victoria Bridge then back along the other side to the west.

Hereford is a pretty town, we went for the Cathedral and Map a Mundi. I think it would suit people who like to go for a bit of a shop and the town centre looked nice when we were walking through, little lanes, little cafes, little independent shops as well as some of the majors.
I enjoyed the Cathedral and the Black & White House Museum, the latter would also be good for children.
Close to lovely countryside and striking distance from Hay On Wye and other pretty towns to visit so a good hub place to be based.

I work in Hereford and was staying overnight because of an evening engagement with a late finish and I didn't want to drive home very late. I think Hereford is a great place to visit, especially now the electric Zipper buses have been introduced.
The room was on the first floor with a great view down the street towards Hereford Cathedral. It's not a busy street. Parking was free, and off road. The room was cosy, spacious, well equipped in the bathroom with my favourite toiletries :) Downstairs, the breakfast and dining room extension is all pale wood and glass, sitting on the castle moat, with sun streaming in, and duck life to observe outside. Really fab. The food was produce from the hotel's own farm - tasty, well presented, attentive but not intrusive service. All good.
Surprisingly spacious terraced house 10 minutes walk from the edge of Hereford town centre - 'The Barrels' more specifically - which is a Hereford institution. Very well equipped kitchen which means self-catering is possible making this so much a better value option than a hotel. One parking permit provided for the road directly outside the house, again another benefit as central city hotels charge for parking or have none. Very clean house with comfy sofas and beds and even a terrace out the back for better weather!
The building is half a mile from the centre of Hereford making it an excellent choice if you plan to walk back, the beds were very comfortable albeit a little small (width and length) for a six foot tall person. The area appears safe and the b&b is located near a Sainsburys should you need it. The Alexander was also the cheapest and most available with less than a days notice in the entirety of the town. The rooms are quite clean (see cons) and the bathrooms are well equipped with showers also very clean.
The staff use your name when you enter, even staff you've not previously met. It is a family run hotel, and they couldn't have been nicer, more accommodating and flexible. Every staff member was warm and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptional. The hotel was 2 minutes from the Cathedral and a short walking distance to everything from stores, bus stops, restaurants. The rooms were immaculately clean. The back garden was beautiful. It was simply perfect and I can't wait to stay there again!
We booked separate hotel cottages supplied by the hotel and made our own breakfast, tea/ coffee & biscuits already available at no extra cost.Very comfortable and totally private.Full bath/ shower/toilet and washing facilities / large double bed, TV, and spacious room and personal privacy.Basically if you want a quiet, intimate room with full facilities this’ll suit you , definitely suited us and it’s the fourth time we’ve stayed there. It’s also only 10 minutes from Hereford town centre.
Lovely little apartment in a village hotel with a lot of character. We certainly felt very comfortable both at night when we had a good sleep and in the morning when out kids enjoyed the creatively built playground outside. The restaurant was closed as we stayed on a Monday, but Hereford is just 4 miles away, so we drove down there and had our dinner. Continental breakfast was provided in the apartment, which was great, as we could enjoy it at out own pace.
The property is conveniently situated for exploring Hereford. It is close to the beautiful Cathedral and also the town centre with its many shops and restaurants. The house is is decorated to a high standard and is ideal for a city break. We self catered and found the kitchen to be well equipped. The bedrooms are comfortable and bathrooms are beautiful. A small enclosed garden was ideal for a glass of wine in the sunshine! Would definitely recommend.
The Hotel location was 5 minutes walk from Hereford Station and a 8 - 10 minute walk into the City Centre. Breakfast was pre-ordered the day before to minimise waste and for a set time. It was eaten in a lovely conservatory room. The bedroom itself was large with a super king bed, sofa and arm chair with separate toilet / shower. Our sleep was very good.
It was a unique beautiful hotel. Very quiet location but only a short distance from Hereford.
The room was stunning. Huge and had nice little touches like proper sized mugs and a coffee machine.
The staff were super friendly and very accommodating especially as I was a little early to check in.
This is a lovely, comfortable and clean one bedroom flat. Spacious shower. Nice surprise was the free Hereford Zipper bus. The bus stop few yards opposite will drop you to multiple places in city centre. Also patio for when the sun shines. The online staff were extremely helpful.
It is very convenient for Hereford city centre with plenty of off road parking, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Really good breakfast . Although it is next to a very busy road my room was at the rear and I could hear no traffic noise at all
This is a fantastic hotel for work or pleasure. Situated in the heart of town it has an old fashioned feel as well as being well appointed with modern facilities in the rooms. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Hereford.
Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need for a relaxed getaway. Was a perfect base to attend a wedding from. We will definitely be back when we visit our Hereford family & friends 😊
Great value for money! I was attending a course in Hereford so needed somewhere nearby to stay, this was perfect. It was cosy and comfortable to come home to after a long day.
Excellent welcoming Hosts, lovely comfy cottage , rural location only 10 mins from Hereford Town centre and a great base to explore the sourounding area.
