Overal beautiful island, great views, great beaches, comparable scenery to Amalfi coast, without the crowd. Good restaurants in the main city. The island is an hour trip via boat from Naples and well worth the time to get there. We traveled to Ischia to get away and it really gave us a chance to relax. We specifically traveled there to visit the Giardini la Mortella, known as one of the most beautiful private gardens in Italy. It was magnificent. On another day we visited the Castello Aragonese which has a rich history over the past 2500 years. Ischia has charm and friendly people and we plan on returning to this little paradise.

Brilliant. Definitely coming back I don't drive and was there solo and had a ball. Maybe not quite as walker friendly as i expected - easy to get buses around, but a few times i found google maps lied a bit about walkable paths... It was early May and everything was pretty empty. I liked that, but I suppose some of the larger restaurants and resorts i was recommended had a bit of a ghost town vibe. Could have spent every day at Posiedon spa and been very happy. A perfect location for relaxing trip. Nice place, nice peoples and plenty of options to spent your time. We traveled by car and it was a bit expensive to take the ferry, but other options are available to( bus from Napoli). We had the dinner in the restaurant and the lunch at Pizzeria Il Giardino. Down the street from the apartment is a small supermarket. But aside from all that- this apartment opens right onto the sea and the most glorious views. it is right on a small, private beach. other apartments and hotels in the area might offer “ sea views” but this hotel/ apartment offers sea access as well. Tina the hostess is accommodating, friendly and lovely. can’t ask for more!

Breakfasts on the patio overlooking the sea were prepared to order and very good. We swam and paddle boarded from the small dock. The staff were super helpful. Dinners (not included) were large and delicious. The hotel arranged a private boat tour around Ischia that left and returned to the hotel. We stopped for snorkeling and lunch at our pace - this was the highlight of our 2 week trip to Southern Italy.

The staff were exceptional. Pool was great (except pool closes very early), and it was right on the bus line. Super easy to get around the island. Bus tickets can be purchased at the hotel. It has a best breakfast of all whole our Italian holiday, and the breakfast view - this was the best view in a hotel we had maybe ever. Lady running the hotel is helpful, friendly, give you a lot of important information, but not overwhelm you with unimportant ones. Ischia is really beautiful, this was really good.
