Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.
The town is centered on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road heads east to neighboring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.
Booking.com also has hotels near the BIC (Bournemouth International Center) in the West Cliff area. This convention center and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon with far-reaching views.
At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. Nearby, there's a Grade I registered historic church, and St. Peter’s Church has the grave of Mary Shelley, author of "Frankenstein."

Great beaches for kids, has a little fun fair on the pier. Most things are within walking distance. We ate at Harry Ramsdens, fish and chips is a must at the seaside. Car parking can be a challenge, book a hotel with a carpark.

Me and my fiance went with friends for our sten Do (stag&hen). It was pleasant weather, relatively affordable, good food & entertaining mini golf. Bournemouth is a very nice town with beautiful sandy beaches. There is plenty of choices for lunch and dinner. It is a bit out-of-date and looks like its glory days are gone though, as there were many closed shops at the city centre and the feeling was it looked a bit sad and abandoned.

The problem with Bournemouth is it is rather run down there are a lot of homeless people sleeping in doorways i think there were rumours of rats in the park but the bus system is brilliant we did go to swanage and Poole shopping overall I would go to Bournemouth again but would not walk about in the darkAAnonymous

The owners are super friendly and caring for their guests. They put breakfast items in the tea room in the morning, which was very nice before starting the day exploring the area. The location is perfect, just a few steps from the beach in a quiet area with dining options around. It was a great experience all around and we would stay there again if coming back to Bournemouth!

The breakfast was the best we have ever had. The choice was Continental, Full English or both, top quality. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with ensuite facilities. There was off road parking available. The hotel is just a 5 min walk from the beach and town, also just 45 min walk along seafront to Bournemouth. We will definitely be coming back...
