Only stayed over on a Tuesday night, plenty of places to eat, we ate at a wonderful Italian restaurant in the square, it was busy which is a good sign and the food was excellent. There is a lovely church in the square and coffee shops to chill in. Easy to get to from main link roads. The roads in Sleaford are very busy at times but it is an old town and the roads reflect this.

Probably good to do a wee bit of research before you go.
Probably good to do a wee bit of research before you go. The only thing we knew about it was the Sleaford Mods spawned from the town!
There is a farmer's market first Saturday in the month. A range of restaurants and shops. Restaurants are busy on a Friday night and you need to book in advance. One way system takes a bit of getting used to.

Lovely little place.
Facilities good. Plenty of little shops and pubs and cafes.
Has a Wetherspoons for something cheap and quick but a nice restaurant in market square for something a bit more special.
Nice little riverside cafes.

When we were in Sleaford it poured with rain which spoiled our experience this time. Lovely weather other days visiting surrounding villages Kirkby-la-Thorpe, Asgarby, Ewerby.
We stayed at Finchhatton Arms in Ewerby, it was an excellent small, independent hotel, good food, friendly staff.

Not a place I normally would have considered going to before. We went for another reason but having now been, would definitely visit again. A very interesting town with a lot of history and interesting buildings. Lots of places to eat, ie pubs, restaurants and cafes. I would say a great place for a long weekend.

The property is not in Sleaford itself.
The property is not in Sleaford itself. It’s in a village called Ewerby. The hotel has lots of history which is detailed in a book in the room. There are also many photos scattered around showing how it used to look. Ewerby is a lovely quiet village with a church, a pub and some pretty houses. It was nice for a short stroll. Sleaford itself is a short drive away along country lanes. Sleaford is a much bigger town with a high street packed with shops. There was a nice river there and you could stroll along the banks viewing all the wildlife.
Warm welcome from reception staff with offer to carry bags up to 1st floor room. Pleasant room which was warm, light and airy. Decent sized TV viewable from any aspect. Good local beer, reasonably priced. Evening meal exceeded expectations ; well cooked seasonal dishes with generous portions. Breakfast the next morning followed the same pattern.
Informed by reception that hotel was imminently to change hands but reassured receptionist and chef were transitioning to the new owners.
A lovely place with lots of charm, in a great location. The room (single with shower) was clean, attractive and more spacious than I’d expected, with plenty of storage and all the facilities I needed. Breakfast was amazing! Really friendly, welcoming staff - I felt very well looked after. Would definitely stay here again if coming back to Sleaford.
I absolutely loved this place! It was really lovely and I'm so happy I stumbled upon the listing. The location was great. It was easy to find and parking was not a problem. There were lovely touches throughout and lots of information for the cottage and surrounding areas.
Staff really accommodating and friendly
Room had everything we needed
The whole vibe of the place was great
A lovely, quirky hotel!
We will definitely be back and would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area. Haley was great!
The proprietors have tried hard to make the rooms quirky, the novelty items make the bedrooms interesting. Beds were ok.
It's very handy if you need to be in Sleaford, which we did.
The butter and the sausages at breakfast were very nice.
Wide range of cereal and fruit available, plenty of snacks, tea and coffee and infused drinks in room, more than you could expect. Better than some 5star hotels. I would highly recommend and if needed will certainly stay again.
location was fantastic, my English family had joked about Sleaford being in the middle of no ware but actually worked out great, Sleaford is a beautiful market town close to Linkon and trains 1hr to london and york
Its location; we were involved with a concert at Sleaford Parish Church which was all of 200 yards from No 1.
Access and check in & out arrangements were also 1st class.
Perfect location, comfortable beds, super power shower, courteous friendly helpful Manager Shannon, I will definitely use this hotel again and highly recommend!
