Ambleside is lovely, the hotel is in an excellent location a few minutes walk from the center, and a few minutes walk from many hiking trails in the area. The hosts are kind, they helped us a lot with every request, including recommendations for routes and even providing detailed maps. The room is large, spacious and very clean, the shower is great. The wifi reception was very good. The breakfast was excellent, lots of options and all very tasty. Vegans are also well taken care of, including excellent homemade vegan sausages, spreads and more.
