This 16th-century inn is situated 3 km from the town of Christiansfeld. It offers old world charm in a quiet setting. Both central Kolding and Grønninghoved Beach are 20 minutes’ drive away. Very helpful service! Accepted my very late check it. Were not bothered to help out where they could. Recommendation!

Located in the southern Jutland town of Løgumkloster, this retreat centre is on the grounds of an old Cistercian monastery and church. It offers free WiFi and buffet restaurant. Peaceful location in lovely grounds. Not a standard hotel - a bit more communal (unforced) eg all eat dinner at 6 pm with a focus on finding peace and slowing down . Many rooms to read and study in. The manager showed us around and explained the concept even though we were really just passing through. Also very good value for money by Danish standards

Situated next to Schackenborg Castle in the picturesque village of Møgeltønder, this inn dates back to 1687. It offers free Wi-Fi, tastefully decorated rooms and a gourmet restaurant. Location is great and the room that we got was very spacious and lovely - we loved the old school vibes! The bed was super comfy with fluffy pillows and warm covers. I appreciated the option to open windows and the blinds as I like to sleep in the dark. Breakfast didn’t have tons of options but all the staples were available; eggs, sausage, bacon, rolls + yoghurt and cereal and fresh fruit. No fresh juice but bottled drinks in several flavors were pretty good!

Brobyværk Kro is located in Brobyværk town centre, next to the Odense River. It offers rooms with seating areas, TVs, free WiFi and parking. The Breakfast was good, The hotel has been completely renovated to a very high standard.
