Offering outdoor pool and a hot tub, Hotel Roca Negra Del Arenal is located in the suburbs of Fortuna. Free Wi-Fi access is available. The room and bathroom were very spacious and very clean. The patio with the view on the arenal volcano is really nice to chill. The gardens on the property are very beautiful and you can see different animals too. The swimming pool was a nice bonus.

In this small family operation, Jose’s service was impeccable. He reached out in advance and removed down/feather pillows as I’m allergic. Six stars, Jose, for preheating the outdoor jacuzzi in advance of our arrival. Bungalow is the right word: small, adequate, hybrid indoor and outdoor. Jacuzzi on the side; rainforest in the back. Breakfast was more than adequate, and we enjoyed a tasty dinner at the Ross restaurant in nearby Chachagua. Sadly, we missed an early morning sighting of the area sloth crawling across the power line above. That’s for next time.

The property is 10 km from Zoo Ave. Very clean in general, impeccable bedsheets and very comfortable beds! The view from the room is super relaxing and there are so many birds ! The lady that took care of our reservation and breakfast is super nice! The breakfast was also very good !
