Located 13 km from Ruka, Taiga School offers a garden. This 5-star hotel offers a shared kitchen and a tour desk. The air-conditioned rooms provide a lake view and come with a desk and free WiFi. The cabin and surrounding forest were the absolute epitome of everything we dreamed a winter in Lapland would be. Peace and quiet, a fireplace, private sauna and ice swimming hole in the lake 20 meters from the cabin gave us all the relaxation we needed. This place is not fancy, but it's perfect. A big thank you to the owners for being so patient and helpful, too.

Situated by Lake Heikki’s beach in the Kuusamo region, Isokenkäisten Klubi - Wilderness Lodge offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with a sofa, wooden floors and a private bathroom with shower. We got upgraded as we were the only tourists at that time of the year, which was very nice. The cottage was very comfy and clean. Views are amazing and the location is very quiet. The owner is adorable.

This hotel is in the north east of Oulu Region, on the shore of Lake Jokijärvi. It offers apartments with private saunas as well as free Wi-Fi and parking. Hospitality, authenticity, the huskys, food and the wide offer of activities outdoors. The staff went an extra mile to offer us a dinner buffet after the hours as we arrived late. Lots of useful tips of places to see given.

Simple but all good bikes where free to use. Staff was of great assistance at any time.
