The outdoor dining area of Barcelo Funchal Oldtown is also the host to a live street concert on most of the lunch times. Around the corner, you can taste the best gelato on the island. If you go on a private cab tour around the island, make sure to ask for “Chico the driver” as your personal tour guide and yellow cab driver who speaks more than 3 languages and takes you around the history and contemporary status of the island through his vast knowledge. We will definitely book Barcelo Funchal Oldtown for our next visit to Madeira.

Three House Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and terrace in Funchal. Three House - three words. They. Get. It. From the very warm welcome when we arrived, the lovely hotel tour we were taken on, to the beautifully furnished rooms. Everything felt just right. Like coming home. And not to forget mentioning the rooftop with 360° degree view of marvelous Madeira. Every single just detail seemed to be thoroughly considered when working out the concept of the hotel when it opened in 2019. Light scent of apple in the hallways, a fully equipped kitchen, a Harman Kardon bluetooth speaker and a TV that allowed you to stream your content via Apple AirPlay our Chromecast. What could mid-twenty travelers want more?! Not to forget the rooftop pool, DJ sets on the weekend and drinks that knock your socks off. Prior our arrival the Three House reached out via WhatsApp asking when we would arrive and whether transportation from the airport is needed. Like, did you ever communicate with a hotel through WhatsApp? Whenever we had a question or just wanted to know where the locals eat - we just sent a text and got the greatest recommendations that made our stay in Madeira even more memorable. Every hotel should just do that. It just feels so natural. If you visit Madeira and plan to stay in Funchal, this is the perfect place. It’s location in the city center with free parking let‘s you get to all attractions and Funchal’s old town in no time. Enjoy the traditional meat skewers and drink as much Poncha as you can (take it with ice though). If you fancy something more experimental, try the hotel restaurant with a sundowner drink on the rooftop after. The Three House just gets it how a hotel experience in the twenty first century should be. Thank you!

Absolutely deserves to be in the list "The leading hotels of the world". Stunning design, top architecture and the most beautiful plants everywhere! We loved our spacious room with a sea and swimming pool views. Very professional and attentive to all detailes stuff. The most beautiful skyroof terrace and swimming pool ever! All restaurants serve great food for reasonable prices. We travel the world around and this amazing hotel could manage to surprise us!

Keturių žvaigždučių viešbutis „Aqua Natura Madeira“ įsikūręs Porto Moniz žvejų kaimelyje, už 45 km į šiaurę nuo Funšalio centro. Stuff was really helpful and kind, location was directly on the ocean front, good wifi, one campagne was prepared in the room as welcome drink , reservable time frames for the sauna and jacuzzy, free entrance to the natural swimming pool , additional towel to the natural swimming pool, as conclusion it was really great to stay here :)

We loved staying at this place. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The view from the room and terrace was really beautiful. And the garden around the hotel is very nice and well looked after. The hotel is not far away from the centre, but the neighbourhood is peaceful. We had everything we needed in the room. I highly recommend this place, and I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was amazing, be it service, staff, facilities, room service .... and for the price it was definitely more than worth - Definitely revisiting Plus the location is all you could ask for, super close to Funchal, Lido and Forum Madeira (everything is basically at walking distance)

The location is close to every attraction in Porto Moniz, has amazing view over the ocean and the room is modern, clean and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and kind, they gave us a free drinks during the checkin, a free bottle of wine in the room during or stay and a souvenir at the checkout. The breakfast was amazing as well, we really appreciated the freshly squizeed orange juice.
