Kyoto Takasegawa Bettei ligger bekvämt beläget i centrala Kyoto och har conciergeservice och gratis privat parkering. Accommodations were truly fantastic, the room was tastefully and comfortably furnished, and the location was convenient for getting around town and close to the station, dining options, and shopping. Both the traditional Japanese and Western breakfast options were delicious, filling, and promptly arrived to our door. The staff were accommodating and very kind, we will absolutely stay here again next time we are in Kyoto.

We just loved our stay at Luck You. Traveling for the first time in Japan as a family of 4 (with two younger kids aged 8 and 11) it was not easy finding ryokans and hotels that were suitable. But Luck You met and exceeded all our expectations. It was in a convenient and central location close to many restaurants and cafes. We booked the premier room that slept four and we found it to be large, light and clean. The futons were fun to sleep on (especially for the kids) and they reasonably comfortable (for futons!). You can ask for a second futon layer if you prefer the extra padding. Breakfast was simple but sufficient, and there were western and more traditional Japanese options. Where Luck You exceeded our expectations was the customer service - all staff members were very helpful and friendly and were happy to go above and beyond to make our stay a special one. We also appreciated the little charming touches in and around the ryokan such as the exquisite flower arrangements and the beautiful cotton kimonos and traditional clogs/slippers for use inside. And the kids loved the "Happy Hour" when they could make their own hot chocolates and sit in the ryokan lounge of an evening. In sum, Luck You was by far our best accommodation experience overall and it was a lovely gentle introduction to Japanese culture. We will definitely return.

The warmth and openness of the monks and staff, the clean and elegant interiors found in the entire property, delicious shojin ryori beautifully presented in the room, purposeful guided meditation in a beautiful hall, the ceremonies with the strong and beautiful voices of the monks - all of these combined made for an unforgettable stay at Ekoin. Meeting Nori, Se Shiu, and all the other monks was one of the highlights of our trip; they made us feel really welcome anytime we met and were happy to answer our questions with insight and thoughtfulness, making it look easy when in fact they were always busy with keeping things in order. They also guide guests during the Okunoin Cemetery night tours and imbue it with a lot of meaning.

高野山 宿坊 龍泉院 -Koyasan Shukubo Ryusenin- ligger i Koyasan, 45 km från Matsushita Park, och erbjuder utsikt över trädgården. this is a very authentic 真言宗 temple. the monks are very friendly, we feel cozy and being well taken care of. the food was very good! it’s close to the bus stop, literally a minute walk.

The location near Okunoin was very peaceful and exactly what I was looking for. The kindness of the monk was just the way I would imagine. Very precious experience.

Shirahama no Yado Daigo ligger i Shirahama, knappt 200 meter från Shirahama Beach och 1,2 km från Ezura Beach. Här erbjuds gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. The hotel is run by a very friendly lady who tried to help in every way, the breakfast was very delicious and served ryokan-style. The room was super spacious. Amazing offer.

Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St. Ligger i Kyoto, 15 minuters promenad från Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall, och har conciergeservice, rökfria rum, en gemensam lounge, gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen och en... Incredible, traditional-feeling hotel. The street the rooms are located on is absolutely stunning, and the rooms themselves are very comfortable and stylish. A very special experience with the outdoor bath and traditional breakfast. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable.

Ishibekoji Muan har ett perfekt läge i området Higashiyama Ward i Kyoto, mindre än 1 km från Gion Shijo station, 15 minuters promenad från Samurai Kembu Kyoto och 1,1 km från Kiyomizu-dera tempel. The staff were very accommodating and super friendly. They helped us with luggage transportation and helped clarify getting a gluten-free meal for the breakfast. The rooms were exactly as in the pictures and really comfortable. I would definitely recommend this Ryokan to anyone going to Kyoto. It is quite central so you can easily walk or take public transport to all the popular locations.
