Situated in Akita, 1.6 km from Akita Station, Hotel KAN-RAKU Akita Kawabata features views of the city. The 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. It was a nice hotel for the price, they offered to make up the room everyday and if you put a do not disturb sign, they would still provide you with a change of towels and trash bags. Check in was quick and the staff were very helpful. The sento was normal.

Directly connected to JR Akita Station and featuring free WiFi access throughout the property, Hotel Metropolitan Akita offers 2 restaurants, a bar and air-conditioned accommodation. It was so central and close to the station - we thought this would make it noisy but it was super quite and really luxury to just walk downstairs to your hotel :) The staff members were really lovely and helpful and the rooms were spacious and very comfy beds.

Boasting 2 restaurants, a bar and a cafe, ANA Crowne Plaza Akita, an IHG Hotel is conveniently located a 3-minute walk from JR Akita Train Station. After a long flight and a long train journey there is nothing better than a good, relaxing hotel which is just what we found ANA Crowne Plaza to be. The hotel is only 3 or 4 minutes walk from Akita station. Take the west exit and follow the covered walkway straight ahead and down an escalator. High up on the wall of a department store you will see a sign directing you to the main entrance of the hotel. Go up a short slope walk along the side of the store, turn the corner and you are there. Check in was very welcoming and we were able to get the key to our room with no problem. The room itself on a high floor of the hotel was spacious, clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well, but as far as I could see the TV only had Japanese channels. We had booked a club level room which gave us access to the lounge which until 1930 served generous canapés wine, beer spirits and a large selection of sake as well as soft drinks. We enjoyed both the food and drink which were top quality and retired to our room early for a much needed sleep. The bed was large and comfortable. The next morning we had a good breakfast again in the lounge and then checked out ready for the next part of our trip. An excellent stay and I would certainly recommend a Club Level room if funds allow.

Dormy Inn Akita is located opposite historical Senshu Park and is a 5-minute walk from JR Akita Station. Free internet access and a public bath are provided. View out to the pond and cherryblossoms was great. Senshu park is close and was in full bloom. Free icecream and yakult for after onsen was a nice touch.

Located a 7-minute walk from JR Akita Station, Akita Castle Hotel features 4 dining options and comfortable guest rooms with free WiFi. Everyone is amazing at this place. Service like you read about from the doormen to the front desk. Going out of their way to make your experience better.
