Aida at the counter was amazing throughout our stay. Helped us with tours , locations , cabs ….. A++++ reception. She definitely loved her job.

Located in Vila do Porto village, in Santa Maria Island, the Apartamentos Lisboa offers self-catering apartments with a simple décor and free WiFi access. Pets are allowed on request. We know the island well and are usually staying on board a boat. Due to an injury we needed somewhere in Vila do Porto within easy access to everything and we found it here. A special offer price made it very affordable for 18 nights. We were warmly welcomed by Sylvia and her cat who checked in on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed and we also appreciated the welcome basket of fresh fruit and local produce. The apartment (we were at the back of the building) is comfortable and homely, well equipped, clean and regularly serviced and within very short walking distance of supermarkets and all facilities. Bus stops are close by. We would certainly stay here again.

This 4-star hotel is situated close to Vila do Porto, a 10-minute drive from the airport, the mountain and the beach of Praia Formosa. Traveling with My 1 year old and arriving early, check in wasn’t for a decent amount of time but they were able to thankfully get Me a room ready within a hour and a half. Comes with breakfast. Has a bar and food available for lunch or dinner. There is a kids room which I enjoyed. Not far of a walk from the center and was nice to see the animals. Beautiful view from room!

Charming Blue offers accommodation in Vila do Porto. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Each room is equipped with a TV with cable channels. Some rooms include views of the sea or pool. Well I think I may have found the perfect hotel!! The room, food, decor, location, atmosphere, all spot on! but what really made this place great was the staff, all so kind and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and everything done with a smile. We are a charity and couldn't have achieved our mission on Santa Maria without the help of the amazing Sophia, an absolute credit to Charming Blue, thank you so much from all the team and crew at The Maiden Factor. I can't wait to come back!!

Fabulous home in a wonderful location, easy walking to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and excellent off street parking. Good cross flow ventilation to mitigate the warm humid weather in August. Good cooking facilities, including a charcoal BBQ on a large furnished terrace. Very comfortable bed and living room furniture. Greatly appreciated the washing machine, and outside clothes line. We were pleasantly surprised how spectacularly beautiful Santa Maria Island was, and how warm the water was for swimming.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool, Pousada de Juventude de Santa Maria is located in Vila do Porto centre, Santa Maria Island, Azores. The hostel is located a few steps from the port. The hostel is nice and also has a nice pool that is regularly cleaned. It is close to the marina and the starting point of the GR01 walking route. Very convenient. Breakfast was basic but good. Recommend to stay here! Luggage room for storing your luggage on the day our flights were there. Marcia, who works at the hostel, was super friendly and helpful. She had many good tips for what to see and do around the island. She most definitely made our stay at the hostel even better!

QUINTA DO FALCÃO se găsește în Almagreira și are vedere la mare, WiFi gratuit și parcare privată gratuită. Everything well maintained and service went the extra mile with us being late. The next day we could stay as long as we wanted because there was no other booking. Short cab ride from the main city (~10€). Recommended!

Set in a condominium next to Figueiral-Prainha Nature Reserve of the Santa Maria Island, Azores, Villa Natura is a 2-bedroom house that offers direct access to Praia Formosa. From the moment you arrive there is a feeling of being welcomed. For ever aspect of our stay Luís was there to assist, from restaurant reservations to trail info. Bella made us a welcome basket and homemade treats. For New Years there was champagne! Truly an amazing place in the most beautiful of settings.

This place is paradise on earth. The Villa is breathtaking. It is at a perfect location with amazing views. The rooms themselves are modern, intuitive, and comfortable. The grounds are impeccable and Susana and Nestor make you feel like you’re part of the family. The pet donkeys were one of the best parts, as was the bee workshop and a tour of the island with Miguel. We felt sad to leave, and will definitely be back to visit again.
