We used this accommodation as our home base for several day tours in the Finnish lake region, and we do not regret it for a small moment. A nice small guesthouse with a private sauna, just a short walk away from the harbour, offers anything you need as a tourist. Granted, the room may not have the most modern look, but we were happy nonetheless: the room was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen has many utensils. The biggest asset of this guesthouse? The host: a very kind and welcoming lady who helped us on our way multiple times. This hospitality was also reflected in all common areas, which were breathing a cozy 'welcome home'-atmosphere. I would most definitely book here again.

Salpalinjan Hovi is gevestigd in een charmant, gerenoveerd schoolgebouw, op 10 minuten rijden van het centrum van Lappeenranta. Only few minutes by car from the center of Lappeenranta, quiet neighborhood, perfect for a rest. The house is beautifully renovated, has a unique charm. The breakfast was fabulous, plentiful. We will be back for a longer stay!

There’s everything you could need - spacious warm light apartment, kitchen, calm atmosphere, fully equipped rooms. For nature lovers this place is a must visit, and a bonus point that they allow pets, so next time I’ll take my dog to have an even better experience.
