Excellent value for money!! Close to the best in Kendwa, including the beach, but very relaxed and calm. Renate is a super kind guest and the breakfast was great.

First of all the location is amazing, it’s not on the beach so not crowded or loud. The walk to the beach is a little 5 min hike which adds so much more to the experience of Zanzibar instead of just the tourist bubble. The hosts are sweethearts, they ooze positive vibes and the huts are comfortable and clean. You have everything you need and everyone is super helpful ♥️ Couldn’t recommend a better place to stay in kendwa that is good on the wallet and makes you feel loved ♥️

This was a wonderful find, and a great value. It was nice to stay in a quiet home away from the noise and commotion of the resorts on the beach. The view from my balcony was great, and sunsets over the sea were beautiful. The second floor apartment catches the breeze and stays cool (the air conditioning was rarely needed). The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. They are fluent in Italian, and also speak English. Maid service came every day, which is unusual for an apartment. It was nice to have a kitchen (shared with another room) to prepare the local fruits sold in the village. The beach (which is the nicest, or one of the nicest, in Zanzibar) is a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment, and local restaurants are only a few minutes walk from the apartment. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Zanzibar.

This is a family run business at the south of Kendwa beach. Becca and his sisters have set up a wonderful facility. They are very close of the village so I enjoyed both the local and "tourist" perspectives.

The pineapple house was my home far away from home for over a month. The owner is such a nice person who was always ready to help. I felt very comfortable and left with a heavy heart at the end. The breakfast was great, fresh fruit every day, freshly squeezed juice and I even got some special gluten-free breakfast - and that's not so easy on the island. I can warmly recommend the pineapple house as the staff is super friendly, the rooms are nice and it’s close to the beach.
