Recently built, small tiny houses in a great location with a beautiful view over the lake and the surrounding hills. The place is nicely decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy fireplace. The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly and even prepare a small welcome gift in the kitchen. We would have loved staying longer.

As we were staying there for the night we got free entrance to the area and enjoyed those one of a kind views. We also got free coffee at the cafe which was a nice added bonus. The room was spacious and comfy and very nicely designed. Breakfast was fresh and tasty and the staff were kind and patient. We were so sorry we had to leave.

Vagnsstadir Guesthouse offers accommodation in Borgarhöfn. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. The guesthouse has pet horses living on site. Jökulsárlón is just a 20-minute drive away. We like everything here. We spent the night here 2 nights before. We supposed to go to Eggilstadir, but the road was closed. We ended up staying here again

Set in the quiet countryside of Eastern Iceland, these basic cottages are 7 minutes’ drive from the village of Vopnafjördur. It provides a kitchenette and free toiletries. Jón is a very friendly and talkative host, gladly sharing information about the region, Iceland etc. with guests. The room was small but more than suffucient, the facilities, kitchen and wash room were everything we needed.
