By far the cleanest place we stayed in Sri lanka. Highly recommended! The room is basic but really clean! The hot shower, was perfect. It's a quiet neighbourhood. Nice balcony for sitting, good WiFi and excellent breakfast, only 600 rp. Bus/train 10 minutes, the fort 15 minutes walking

However, what we appreciate most are the hosts - they are very nice and always willing to help!

You can tell they are not doing it just for money as everything is fine to make client comfortable. Offering a garden and city view, Maple Place is located in Unawatuna, 1.2 km from Bonavista Beach and 1.4 km from Unawatuna Beach. Such a lovely stay! The family who runs Maple Place are so kind and thoughtful, lots of attention to detail. They allowed us to leave our bags early and even provided a cold drink while we waited for the room to be ready. The room was clean, exactly as pictured, always had hot water, and ac/fan worked excellently. Location on the main road was a short walk or tuk tuk ride to the beach or town. The breakfast was so delicious and had variety for our 3 night stay. Highly recommend we would definitely stay here again!
