She had a bunch of bananas (caraw type?) which was a good meal in itself. Some local suman was also on the porch for people to share. Annabelle’s place is not fancy. It is a house and you stay in a bedroom. No hot showers but with the humidity in town, it really does not matter. Support the small businesses in the area and Annabelle is one of them.

The hosts were very accommodating, always there when needed but also discreet. Rooms are very small and come with the traditional tiny bathroom but absolutely perfect for those travelling on a budget. Breakfast was lovely and tuk-tuks into town were readily available and affordable. The location was further out than we realised, but it wasn’t a problem to grab a tuk-tuk and we found some good local restaurants nearby.
