The guesthouse itself. It looks much better in actual. Very warm and cosy. With glass walls, I was finally able to enjoy a good view of snow without getting cold. I arrived way too early. I just plan to leave my luggage and go to Santa Village but the host Jussi offered to take me to the village by car. Very accommodating. Really appreciated. Will definitely come back and stay longer. ❤️

This is a modestly priced, comfortable hotel with pleasant staff, close walking distance to the train and bus stations, a very good breakfast, and a guest kitchen (a nearby supermarket too). The location is also near Rovaniemi’s network of rivers, lakes and lagoons, with walking and cycling paths along the waterways. The Arktikum museum is a strong Rovaniemi attraction, but visitors should also consider the Local Heritage Museum and the Forestry Museum of Lapland (there’s a separate forestry museum/science centre beside Arktikum). The Local Heritage Museum and Forestry Museum of Lapland are open-air museums, not as big as some Skansens, but well worth visiting. They’re conveniently close to each other, about a 45-minute or hour walk along a pleasant route from Guesthouse Borealis. There’s probably bus service to the museums too.

Very friendly. Lakus treats us as a family member. Very well take care of our family. Warm honey mints tea as welcome drink when we checked in. Location just few minutes walking distance to the central of city. Taxi station is near by the property. Highly recommend.

I LOVE IT! Super cozy! The room was so clean, comfy with everything that I needed. There is a lavatory in the room, I was able to wash my teeth and make my skincare routine without using the shared bathroom. There is a microwave, kettle and dishes, which is great! The shared bathroom was super clean and warm, better than my own house haha. The staff is also very nice, I would definitely come back!! Aaand the location is PERFECT

I like everything about the property. The area also feels very calm. I saw a rabbit pass by the house. Make me like everything. The host gave plenty of coffee and tea. Everything is clean. Location is around 1km away from city centre not far. Walking distance if you like to walk. I will coming back to Rovaniemi next year on March hopefully l can book this property again.

Very nice place with a lot of charm. The room is very cozy and smells of wood. The owner was very friendly and toke the time to chat a bit. There is no big bed, but the owner gave us a third bed to put next to the loft bed. There would also be a possibilty to use a old traditional sauna (2-3h of heating time according to the owner). Calm and nice neighborhood.
