The property has been sympathetically renovated after a fire in 2020. it still has a wonderful pub ‘feel’ but the rooms are tasteful and (without exaggerating) one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. I could not see a cobweb or mark anywhere. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was wonderfully appointed for the price with a nespresso machine and a great range of tea and coffee. Again, I’ve stayed in more expensive properties that don’t have this.

Plenty hot water. Good quality towels / soaps. Nice to watch wild life at breakfast time. Friendly staff who were not slow and did not rush you either. Television in the room was fine. The bed was warm and comfy.
