We loved the idyllic location between the river and the mountains, and the natural, rustic accommodation. Most importantly we appreciated our hosts, Mel and Pablo, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

The hosts were super friendly and did everything to make us feel welcome and home. The dogs and the cat were very cuddly. The area was calm and relaxing. We didn't end up in the room we booked, but it worked out just fine. Breakfast was one of the nicer ones we had in Colombia. The house was very artistic and the interior design was self-made by the owners

I had the most lovely stay at Finca Flora del Rio. I was there for 3 nights and would have happily stayed longer. The space was beautiful and comfortable, with sweet artistic touches. Loved having a hammock deck, which was visited by hummingbirds. I traveled by bus/on foot and it was easy to get between Flora del Rio and the town (although important to have shoes that can get a little wet and muddy). Melissa and Pablo were wonderful hosts - thoughtful, full of helpful recommendations, they have a great care for the land, space and people and I enjoyed having chats with them. Breakfast was delicious and utilized local ingredients. Activities: Easy to visit town, the river, several roads/trails for walks with beautiful views and birds. They also have suggestions for local tours and guides which led me to a fantastic hiking/birding experience with David. Simply relaxing in the hammock or terrace was also such a treat.

We really enjoyed our three night stay at the Finca. Martha and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. For example, the staff noticed that my 13-year-old son is a fussy eater. After a meal or two they figured out his likes and dislikes, and actually swapped out a few dishes just for him. We didn't ask for any special treatment for him -- they just did it. Really made him happy. We enjoyed the dogs as well. They're very friendly and came with us on a hike to a nearby waterfall.

This was a lovely place to stay. It's fairly remote and basic, as you would expect, but the people were really welcoming and the coffee tour by Don Leo was really interesting and the nature and surroundings were beautiful. I would definitely recommend to others.

Fantastic place! Great views on the ways to the cabin, the cabin looks great, very comfortable beds, jacuzzi worked greatly, great features and the experience to drive on a Willys was great! Great service from the admin and the family in the location
