This camp have been recommended by two different people who did not know each other and were from different countries. And I can understand why now ! I stayed 2 nights and 3 days and I had such a great and relaxing time. My bed was waiting for me after I arrived by night bus as well as breakfast on my first day. Abdu the camp owner is such a nice and helpful person. I also met Hakam who along with Abdu organised me a trip to the desert and sorted out multiple requests. My favorite part was the hot spring to relax in the morning or evening and the camp atmosphere where you can meet all the guests without having to share the room with.

Posizione, atmosfera magica e staff super disponibile. Un luogo unico nel cuore antico di Siwa, ci siamo sentiti a casa respirando un’aria magica, Helal e tutto il suo staff sono stati perfetti in ogni cosa. Consiglio questo posto per rilassarsi e godere della storia del deserto. Quando arrivi presso la struttura rimani senza fiato dalla bellezza di questo posto senza tempo. CONSIGLIATISSIMO

Siamo stati meravigliosamente bene, albergo super carino, pulito e non molto distante da centro, la cosa impressionante è stata la gentilezza del proprietario che ha fatto di tutto per farci sentire a nostro agio (ogni volta che dovevamo uscire ci chiamava un taxi, ha spesso ordinato per noi il pranzo/cena d’asportazione per via del caldo intenso così da poter mangiare in camera, l’ultimo giorno stavamo rischiando di prendere il pullman e ha mandato qualcuno a ritirare i biglietti) veramente una persona gentilissima, abbiamo usufruito anche dei servizi dell’albergo come la gita ai laghi salati e il Safari nel deserto, prezzo onestissimi.

I was originally supposed to only stay one night at Paloma Lodge from 6 Nov to 7 Nov, but because I enjoyed my stay here so much, I decided to extend for 4 more nights, only checking out on 10 Nov instead. Paloma Lodge is very well located, with only about 5 mins’ walk away from Siwan town centre where all the restaurants, cafés and shops are located. Apart from that, it’s only a stone’s throw away from a fresh water spring, where it’s perfect for an early morning or mid-afternoon swim. The host, Captain Nair, is super kind, warm and hospitable! He made me feel very welcomed and because I was a solo female traveller, he would check on me when I’m out later in the evening. In fact, he invited me to dinners at the lodge with lovely meals, either prepared by the good Captain himself, or his lovely housekeeper, Safie! The lodge is very tastefully decorated and kept very clean. The one-room apartment that I stayed in was very cosy and was sufficiently equipped with kitchen appliances, such as; electric kettle, toaster oven and a fridge. I will definitely stay at Paloma Lodge again, when I come back to Siwa!! It was a very enjoyable and cosy homestay which felt like you are with family. A home away from home.

Beautiful place with private hot spring. You can sit at the fire in the evening, enjoying the guitar. Friendo is a very kind owner. He takes good care after you, preparing fresh breakfast. You also can make tours with him, showing you the beauty of Siwa. I stayed 4 days and Friendo became a real friend, he makes you feeling at home. If you are looking for silence in good company you should stay at Friendo‘s house. Thanks Friendo, hope to see you again inshallah

The stuff is great! I could chatter with them, they recommend me many plans to do! They gave me more blanckets! So sleeping was really warm, which is important in the desert if you go in winter! Breakfast is good! I was really full of energy to spend the day! I didnt have dinner there, but the fish they serve seemed delicious. Hope you enjoy it too!

We loved staying here & would recommend this stay if you are ever in Siwa! The aesthetic of the place was nicely done, it was very clean & breakfast was great:) The place was in a good location, super close (walking distance) to the bus station, towns & some good restaurants. Although we didn’t end up using it, the kitchen was stocked with necessities that we were free to use. The host was very responsive, friendly & helpful- she helped us book tours & rides around Siwa. We would definitely stay here again!
