She was so concerned one of her recommendations didn't work out for me, so she tried extra hard to make my time in Matsue memorable. Guest house Yonemuraya was a pleasant surprise. It was so much better than staying at a hotel, as it felt like a more authentic Japanese experience. I travelled to Matsue for a conference at Kunibike Messe convention centre and this was only a short walk away. Emi-San was an excellent host, helping me with finding place for dinner, sightseeing and shopping ideas when I had time off work. There was a lively restaurant area nearby, and the train station, castle etc were within walking distance.
