And the most beautiful thing about this place are the hosts – Chattu and her family! They are very hospitable, caring and lovely, we felt safe and warm as at home! Thank you very much! This hotel is just beautiful - clean as can be, simple and elegant decor, lovely historic building, cute courtyard. The staff are friendly though they did ask if we were enjoying our stay about eight thousand times which was very sweet but did get a bit wearing. The price is unbelievable for this location and how nice a place it was - at least, at the time of this writing, our room was only 33 USD a night which is jaw-droppingly cheap considering what a lovely hotel and great location! In the middle of the fort, Spa Ceylon is just down the road (everything is just down the road, basically!) The air conditioning was crisp and cold. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The bathroom was very pretty though you're standing next to the toilet when you shower as it's a very small space, but I understand that because it is an historic building. Our room even had a tiny balcony which was a lovely touch. You can tell a lot of thought went into cleaning and restoring this building. Overall, I'd highly recommend staying here!

We loved our stay here so much that we booked again for our return to Colombo stay. The staff were so lovely and enthusiastic and helpful. The villa is gorgeous, so small and intimate. Only 4 rooms so we basically had it to ourselves as it was nearing the end of season in late April. We had a free tuk tuk ride to Galle Fort and this way we met a wonderful driver who ended up being a large part of our travels and a friend for life ! We caught the train from Colombo Fort to Galle and the villa is only a 5 minute tuk tuk ride. . Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

Inde, the owner, arranged a tuk tuk tour for us, we picked up fresh seafood at the market and he cooked the best meal we had during our whole stay in Sri Lanka, he arranged a vehicle for us from the property to the airport. In short he made our very memorable trip to Sri Lanka the best vacation we’ve ever been on!
