What an experience We received a warmth and nice welcoming from all the team of Al Hamra. The breakfast was delicious! The room and bathroom were very clean and very confortable. BIG THANKS!

We had high expectations and were not disappointed. Wonderful feeling of hospitality and a bonus to be greeted by 3 lively dogs. The host was very friendly and accommodating and answered all our questions for the trip to Jabal al Akhdar the next day. Al Hamra village is not to be missed. A very nice museum nearby is not to be missed, exceptional staff showed us around an old house and life in former times. All in all a wonderful time in Al Hamra and Bait Al Aali

Perfect place to stay to explore Jebel Shams! We stayed here for 2 nights and it was everything we needed. Good A/C, fastest WiFi we had in Oman, comfortable bed, hot water, and even a kitchen to use! Host is incredible and helpful, recommended us things to do and even a place to eat dinner. I booked this thinking it would be a super basic Homestay, but it ended up being even better than I’d hoped for! We would definitely stay here again

The staff was wonderful, hospitable, and very accommodating to our requests. The room air conditioning was a blessing in the afternoon heat. We used this as a starting point for hikes in Jebal Shams (which is about an hour drive), but there’s also the old town just about 20 minutes’ walk away.

It's like being part of the Country heritage. The place has all modern hotel fearures like air conditioning and wi-fi, all fitted in a typical mud house. It is really clean, and on top the staff was friendly and nice. There are tea and coffee tables throughout the place, so that guests can enjoy hot drinks at anytime.

The dinner and breakfast were very tasty, free parking is nearby and the owner is very hospitable and friendly (and amazing pictures on the wall from her own collection). Special place to spend some time in this old sheik’s home in between ruins of the old village, palm trees and enjoy the lovely roodtop terrace with 3 lovely house dogs (Mindy, Bella and Panchito) roaming around.
