A traditional Pingyao family home inside the city walls but away (5-10 minutes walk) from the busiest tourist part of town. The hosts are lovely. I stayed 2 nights. The first night I was the only guest and I met the family’s delightful 11 year old twin daughters. All in all a great place to feel part of an older China.

O Pingyao Jiaxin Guesthouse dispõe de quartos com decoração em estilo chinês tradicional. A propriedade fica a apenas 4 minutos a pé da Estação de Trem de Pingyao. Nice, authentic and cosy place. The couple who manages the property is helpful and very welcome, interesting to talk to and with plenty of good advices. Always smiley and kind, easy going, ready to help for anything you might need.

Bem ao lado do Museu Xietongqing Unincorporated Bank Bank, o Pingyao Baichanghong Hotel é uma pousada com temática de papel-recortado, localizada no centro do Condado de Pingyao, Patrimônio Mundial da... Beautiful accommodation at the centre of ancient city of Pingyao in the bustling South Street. The owner and staff are very friendly, warm and helpful. They picked us up from the station and brought us to Ancient City (cars are not allowed inside) and also brought us on the day of departure, both for very reasonable fees, because we were with 5, too many for a taxi. The hotel and rooms were in a traditional style, allowing for great pictures.The beds and cushions were very comfortable for us. The bathroom and toilet are combined in a small room, but it wasn't bothersome.The owner knows the nearby shops and good spots to go to, definitely ask for tips. We enjoyed our 2 nights and 3 days in Pingyao a lot, definitely recommended.

O Datong Yunzhong Traditional Courtyard está localizado na Cidade Antiga de Datong, a 5 minutos a pé do templo Huayan e da Muralha dos Nove Dragões. É um pátio quadrangular com decoração tradicional. Peaceful and quiet, the owners were lovely, and you could tell they kept pride in their place. The meals were great especially the noodles. Enjoyed breakfast which was a mix of sweet potatoes, vegetables, dumplings, sausage. The area had plenty of food around it and a short walk to the wall and ancient drum. Found out by guide the whole town is a replica made a decade ago, even the wall.

Localizado no centro histórico de Pingyao, Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO, o Lao Cheng Gen Hostel fica a 10 minutos a pé de Xianya, o antigo governo do condado. Really typical location, I loved the vibes and the host was really a good man. Wish I could stay longer (not for the town per se, but for the accommodation)
